Is it shallow to think that your coaches will start whoever plays best at their position? You just love to contradict yourself don't you. Make up your mind. First you talk like your coaches are all that and then imply that they are stupid enough to start their favorites at the risk of the team.

I don't care whether Feeley or Gus starts. I think they both stink.

Last year he brought in Testeverdy (sp?) and this year Bledsoe, both of whom Parcells knows and featured at the respective positions in the past. Is Parcells stupid??? No, but you on the otherhand. You act like you know so much but everything you write and believe is of face value, you don't understand the game and what happens in real life you think everything is cut and dry. Coaches coach with their instincts and experience in the past. Thats why Gus would be chosen over AJ if left soley up to Linehan. And I think as I said before Saban will allow Linehan make some decisions until he proves unworthy....bottom line Gus will have the upper hand.

Oh, Gus is a probowl QB and AJ has shown signs of a good solid competitor since playing QB at this level. Your rookie QB hasn't made it through camp healthy or started one single game and your back up couldn't win a starting job in Baltimore. WOW, how sad!!!....and our QB's suck?!?!?!? By your standards your QB's couldn't even start Miami Dolphins Cheeleaders.

Fiedler had started in this league and for this team for the last 5 years, he sucked even without all of last years problems. But he did have a winning record against the Jilly's!!!! :rofl3:

The reason why Parcells went w/ Vinny and now Drew is because he is familiar with them. He did and will yank out those qb's once it calls for it. Wanny insisting on Fiedler inspite of sucking is favoritism. Not familiarity.

I don't think he and gus will split snaps for very long. I think after mini-camp and the QB schools, that once Scott and Nick decide on a #1 that he'll get the snaps and they'll want to make that decision rather quickly. True, A.J. had alot against him last year, and he's learning a new system this year, but he should have improvement all around him. O-Line, Running game and passing game, so, no excuses, produce or you'll be replaced.. I'm not saying he can't do it or won't do it, just that he'd better do it and this year, he's got a one year try out, and if he's not the man, Nick's not going to waste any time finding a replacement. He won't tie himself to someone that doesn't produce results like Dave did.

there's a difference with familiarity with a system and favorites. Fiedler was a favorite.

Yeah, and PJ's better if you take away AJ's ability throw a pass,manage a game,crack the starting lineup and stay healthy.
Whats your point about fiedler??? I said Gus would have the advantage because he's more familiar with Linehans system, what ever DW's love afair was with Fiedler started from the time DW took Fiedler over Matt Hasselbeck!!
So why even bring Fiedler into this conversation reguardless of why Fiedler started over Feeley favorite or familiar it was still a disadvantage for Feeley!!

i think that feeley deserves a chance to drop back and throw the ball behind a more improved offensive line taught by a very good coach in Houck. i think that if feeley has time to throw the ball he can be efficient in a Scott Linehan offense. atleast he will have a dependable running back to hand the ball off to in times of need. feeley should be judged after the 2005 season, not after last year's nightmare.
