Is AJ that bad?

He sucks, then again the whole team sucked last year.

Someone asked about Fiedler's stats last year. As another poster correctly responded, Fiedler was basically one yard superior to Feeley. Fiedler was 6.24 compared to Feeley's 5.32. However, that 6.24 was much lower than Fiedler's typical number in Miami, giving some credence to the theory the offensive line and other factors dragged the quarterbacking down regardless of who it would have been.

Here is a link to Fiedler's career stats: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/3012/career

You will note he had one good statistical season in Miami at 7.3 yards per attempt in 2001. If I remember correctly, that was 5th or 6th in the league that season. Otherwise he was planted in the 6.7 to 6.9 range until last year, signifying he was an average to slightly above average QB but no one to fear in the playoffs. With a running game like we had with Ricky in 2002 and 2003, Fiedler should have managed better than 7.

Fielder's interception percentage is poor, about 3.9% lifetime.

remember when you watched pregames after the jets game when everyone asked if feeley should get the start ahead of fiedler to see what he is made of and almost every reaction said that miami wont exceed anyways with him in the game? well he went 3-3 in his last 6 games of the season!!!! a team that was said to be the worst team in the league finished 3-3 at the end of the season with a win over the dynasty patriots showed how much the team improved!

the bills game was stupid because we had no run d and we had no run game! if we did we could of just ran the time off the clock but instead we were forced to pass which led to well predicted offense that was no problem for the bills great d to predict! hell the last play of the gamme for the dolphins the player ran the wqrong route! the whole team was messed up not just FEELEY! He did the best any qb could do in that dismal offense just state the fact that everyone always blams the qb not the team there is no I in team people!!!!!!!

I'm not gonna hold it against Aj for beating teams he should've beat. The New England victory was good, but am I supposed to be impressed that he beat the Browns and the 49ers? Beating the Browns 10-7 is not impressive IMO, a win is a win, but the Browns gave up 58 pts to a 1st year starting Qb earlier in the season.

AJ: has no starting job to lose, he has one to win its an up for grabs battle, now with the proper tools and coaching he can excel, if he cannot then well yeah he wont start.

Feeley may not be the second coming of Dan, but he at least deserves to lose the job in camp. Gus is an insurance policy, one I hope we don't have to cash in. Give the kid a break!

Im sorry i just had to post and say that i laughed when i read this thread. If we are even debating this...perhaps it's a bigger problem than we think. :shakeno:
