Is Brown's Value Diminishing?

I found out it comes on at like 5AM eastern on Sat morning and then is recast at like 6or 7 eastern Sat night.

Well, if his holdout goes much beyond this week, does anyone believe that it could put a damper on the 2005 season as a whole?

No, his value is not diminishing.

As soon as he signs and scores that first TD no one will even remember this. It's an annual thing in the NFL for rookies to hold out.

Edgerrin James and Ladanian Tomlinson held out for extended periods of time, longer than what Ronnie has so far, and look at what they did their rookie seasons.

Their value certainly didn't diminish.
exactly, After ronnie gets done with his first 100 yard rush game no one will remember this

I was reading an article on ESPN.com before. Trent Dilfer said holding out 12 days into camp was the biggest regret of his life. He said he wishes he could turn back time and he would willingly have taken the 2 million dollar paycut in order to get into camp on time and it hung over his career.

I think it is easier for a Runningback to come in after holding out and learning the playbook than it is for a QB.

Also bear in mind that the teams are in a different position this year due to the CBA not being extended or renewed...the contracts from this crop of rooks will affect the cap much more....Browns value has not diminished from the Fins...But it seems that RB could be a strength, even tho RW will be out the first 4 games and Brown's holdout may affect his early performance...Also, as has been stated many times, RB is the easiest position for Rooks to adjust to...his absence in camp is not an issue as of yet.

I read that very same thing. I give TD credit for admitting to that. Most players wouldn't. It's a shame that it always comes down to the all mighty $$$$$!!!:yell:

I wouldn't be surprised if Gordon ends up your starting rb in the first game because of this.

On a nother thread they are saying France isn't returning the Dophins phone calls. Isn't returning phone calls? What is he pouting? The bottom line is if you wait to long you miss to much you are going to get less. Why pay the big bucks on a player that might not be ready come week one? If he doesn't get signed do either of them get payed? Why the hell would he not return phone calls that is just silly.

I'm getting really tired of not hearing any news. I keep logging on here expecting to read about Ronnie signing, but nothing....

Does he even want to be a Dolphin? I noticed when we drafted him, he didn't put on the cap, and didn't look too thrilled. I'm starting to think he's just a putz.

greedy mo-fo! :fire:

Seriously, is there a difference between 19 and 23 million ????

Tell him to go get a job then.

F the punks.

Let him take his fabulous Auburn education and get a $35,000 a year job.

Exactly. These guys are have phenomenal talent and physical ability. All it will take is a few weeks of practice before the first game.

You don't know the difference between 19 million and 23 million?
Cmon dude...we are not talking about copper pennies here.
Miami drafted him and therefore have to pay the cash.

IMO its not Ronnie who should be the culprit here. It is our front office. If they would stop with the BS, Ronnie would be in camp by now. The damn market is set already. Give up the dough and find ways to save elsewhere. You don't draft a guy #2 in the first round expecting to save cap space!! :shakeno:

Dilfer is a QB, Edwards is a WR. These positions are alot harder to learn than RB. And as far as running a "vanilla" offense, I would be very surprised if Ronnie doesn't know the playbook at least fairly well by now. He's had it for 3 months and he is a guy that has good work ethic. So I'm sure he's been reading it. You people just need to settle down, it's not gonna make a huge difference. If he's got it, he's got it. If he don't, he don't. a week off won't make a difference there.
