Is Brown's Value Diminishing?

Well I think the point of the list was to show how not weak some of our weak links are.

EDIT: LOL, wrong thread...

greedy mo-fo! :fire:

Seriously, is there a difference between 19 and 23 million ????

Tell him to go get a job then.

F the punks.

Let him take his fabulous Auburn education and get a $35,000 a year job.
You obviously didn't hear the millionaire excuse yet and I'm not sure why Brown hasn't used it yet " I need to feed and take care of my family"

Cmon dude...we are not talking about copper pennies here.
Miami drafted him and therefore have to pay the cash.

IMO its not Ronnie who should be the culprit here. It is our front office. If they would stop with the BS, Ronnie would be in camp by now. The damn market is set already. Give up the dough and find ways to save elsewhere. You don't draft a guy #2 in the first round expecting to save cap space!! :shakeno:

that part is true, but I hear it's the GUARANTEED money that's the main issue.

Here's an idea, how about actually taking a snap in the NFL, THEN ask for a guarantee. Where's OUR guarantee?

Ryan Leaf was a #2 pick too.

Yup, and if it wasn't for football, he'd be selling cars. :rofl3:

Yeah and nobody put a gun to Saban's head to force him to pick #2. You know all this going into the thought process of selecting him at that position!

I don't blame him for wanting guaranteed money either. With the way teams rip up contracts nowadays. But I digress...that is all speculation. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes, but we all know it is a money issue.

I don't think he will get signed until camps are closed to the public actually...there is a theory I have about that though.

Hes been holding out for ten days. I mean im jacked off about it but its not the end of the world. If hes not signed before Monday which he wont play in that game anyways than ill really be pissed. I do feel however that hes should have been in the day after smith signed his contract.

The problems come in when you compare a guy whos a qb to a guy who is a running back .. I believe qbs are worth more and there fore the market isnt really set for brown who is a running back ,Also i believe the thread was is he losing value? Well first you have to ***** a value for the kid .. hard to do since he hasnt played a down .. almost impossible to do really...His VALUE money wise ? i would say 20 mill to sign in bonus ..His value to the team? harder to value .. but with ricky in the mix and the other guys its hard to say if he has time to screw around and hold out... before saban will HAVE to make an example of him... OUR real problem is ricky cant run the rock the first 4 games and it would have nbeen nice if he (brown) was in camp and forming the bond with his teamates who are out there sweating thier ***** off...I hope it doesnt hurt what is IFFY team charecter right now.
