It's a long season

It cracks me up reading some of the posts and Tannehill sucks, play Matt Moore when we just played the 2nd game of the season with a new offense with 5 new starters on the O-line and our best running back gets hurt on the first play. People are already jumping ship, it is freaking ridiculous! Just a quick reminder of some other QBs and their teams records thus far.

Matt Ryan (his performance made Tanne's look like an MVP) 1-1
Russel Wilson 1-1
Drew Brees 0-2
Tom Brady 1-1
Andrew Luck 0-2
Aaron Rodgers 1-1

I am sure these guys and teams are really freaking out.....they should be benched! We should trade Matt Moore to one of them because he has to be a better QB. Some of the posts on here are just sad! This team will get better and better, especially after we get our players back and the O-Line starts to gel and we get the offense down!

Exactly!! People in this forum are ridiculous!

2 ints and a fumble! He had as many ints as completions in 6 attempts! That was one pretty long ball he threw though phewwwwwwwwwwwwww!

You cannot give up on Tannehill just yet. It's just two games into the season just chill.

Tannehill isnt even better then Alex Smith, (hes a poor mans version of Alex Smith though, only looks good with a strong run game)

look stang, we know ur gripe with moore ever since he took over in 2011.

after 1 game u declared him awful, yet u gave henne 3 plus years, and not until he was injured in the 4th game vs san diego, to never play qb as a fin again, did u come to grips how bad he was the entire time.

same thing with tannehill. u cant actually be watching this dude and saying to urself u like what u see with him.

also, according to most ppl on here, moore is just a freaking backup qb, so expectations with the supposedly ''franchise '' qb tannehill should be a lot higher, therefore tannehill should be held to much higher expectations.

if u truly think moore is awful and tannehill is good, by no means should they be held to the same standards, because one guy stinks according to u and is nothing more than a career backup, while tannehill is this good qb who will lead the franchise for years to come.

u also keep bringing up all these comebacks that tannehill has led the fins to. u do realize that many of the ''comeback'' wins the fins have under tannehill ( which by the way is not as much as u make it seem) are due to tannehill getting us behind to begin with?

these '' comebacks'' are not a result of our defense getting shredded and tannehill comes and saves the day with his heroics, most of them r due to getting behind by bad turnovers that tannehill commits, etc.

the man is no the qb, no one thinks moore is either, but at least with moore , even with his dumb decisions, he will make exciting plays. tannehill is just boring to watch, couple that with his awful decisions.

not the 2 games ppl r concerned about, its the 34 games he has played for the fins. looks like the same exact qb.

You did watch when Matt Moore came in against Buffalo last year right?.....or is it mental block?

Each year is a different team. Last years o-line was historically bad. It makes it a bit hard to blame Tanny for all the offensive woes last year. Sunday's game looked like one of our games last year mostly thanks to Shelley Smith's inability to handle Kyle Williams. I still give Tanny a scholarship to this point. I understand and share in the consternation, but the OP is right that it's a long season. Even most playoff teams have games during the season where they just go out there and poop the bed. Factor in that Buffalo is a good team, a matchup nightmare for Miami, they were playing at home, and the crowd and team were as pumped as it gets in the NFL, and Sundays game could easily be an aberration. If we look the same this week, I'll be far more worried. It really is too early to draw conclusion both about how good (or bad) this team is and also for Tannehill. He definitely needs to show better than he has to this point though.

i did watch actually, and the first play from scrimmage for him was a bigger play than tannehill made the entire game.

u do realize we got shutout that game, and tannehill started majority of the game, or do u have a mental block for that part?

if ur going to rip on moore in support of tannehill, the buffalo game from last year is not exactly your best argument, because tannehill was dog s**t that game.

ya but was it as bad as looked on paper, or was the qb a big part of making the o line look awful.

david carr when he was drafted by the texans 1st overall, i believe set a record for sacks taken in his first year, did that mean the texans o line was a historically bad o line, or maybe it had a bit more to do with the qb then ppl thought? well that guy david carr sure enough was out of the league in a hurry.

throughout tannehills career, even in college, the guy has terrible pocket awareness and takes lots of sacks and turns the ball over.

i truly do not know what the fins saw from him at texas a&m that made them draft this dude.

Yet, all these QBs are rated higher than Tannehill for the running season. MVP status all the way.

Comp %: 24 out of 31 (i did not count one game QBs)
QBR: 26 out of 31 (i did not count one game QBs)
Total yards: 21 out of 31 (i did not count one game QBs)
Yards/game: 21 out of 31 (i did not count one game QBs)
Yards/Attempt: 29 out of 31 (i did not count one game QBs)

What is really frustrating is that Chad Henne is statistically better in almost every category.

I guarantee you the teams those QBs are on finish with a better record than Miami. Every. Single. One of them.

Last years line was historically bad. Not just on paper. Of the five starters who finished the season with the Fins, none are starting anywhere in the league, and one is no longer in the league.
