It's a long season

You did watch when Matt Moore came in against Buffalo last year right?.....or is it mental block?

Moore tried to do something. Anything.
Moore came in in the 4th quarter with no warm up in the middle of the series.

His 50 yard pass on his second attempt was 50% of the entire offensive net yardage output for the entire game and almost the entire output of Tannehill for the whole game. His INTs were a logical conclusion for a QB in desperation trying to bring a team back being down 0-13 and 0-19 in the 4th quarter. A desperation I missed with Tannehill in both last games. I am still disgusted seeing him sitting on the sidelines nose picking and joking around in both games.

BTW Moore's 50 yard pass came with the same OL and receivers Tannehill played with with 0 prep or warm up.

I never fault a QB for a downfield INT in desperation mode. I would not fault Tannehill for it either. But for that you have to show emotion and the relentless will to make something happen. Dan Marino was famous to throw these bone headed INTs at times. It did not hurt his legacy. It was attributed to: he was a competitor

It cracks me up reading some of the posts and Tannehill sucks, play Matt Moore when we just played the 2nd game of the season with a new offense with 5 new starters on the O-line and our best running back gets hurt on the first play. People are already jumping ship, it is freaking ridiculous! Just a quick reminder of some other QBs and their teams records thus far.

Matt Ryan (his performance made Tanne's look like an MVP) 1-1
Russel Wilson 1-1
Drew Brees 0-2
Tom Brady 1-1
Andrew Luck 0-2
Aaron Rodgers 1-1

I am sure these guys and teams are really freaking out.....they should be benched! We should trade Matt Moore to one of them because he has to be a better QB. Some of the posts on here are just sad! This team will get better and better, especially after we get our players back and the O-Line starts to gel and we get the offense down!

It cracks me up reading this exact same post every year.

That being said, I have no interest in benching Tannehill. Sink or swim with him. If it's sink, it's time to plan for his replacement. There is no acceptable excuse.

i did watch actually, and the first play from scrimmage for him was a bigger play than tannehill made the entire game.

u do realize we got shutout that game, and tannehill started majority of the game, or do u have a mental block for that part?

if ur going to rip on moore in support of tannehill, the buffalo game from last year is not exactly your best argument, because tannehill was dog s**t that game.

Okay, so let me get this straight....he completes one medium long pass and then goes 1-5 with 2 picks and a fumble.....that is not better. It flat out sucks. You probably forgot about the passes dropped in that game by the receivers right? Tanne did not not have a good game in that game but it still doesn't come close to the stinker Matt Moore displayed....yet another fold in the 4th quarter for us!

They were not downfield ints...they were bonehead thrown in to coverage Matt Moore specials that he does after making 1 decent throw that gets a certain crowd all riled up.

lol, ya, not even close to the stinker moore had.

moore on that 1 pass had 50 pct of the total yds we got the entire game on offense, which was started by tannehill.

no one said moore was good that game, but the ''awesome franchise qb'' ryan tannehill, was crap that game, and then the following game vs the jets with the season on the line, he stunk it up as well.

tannehill by now should be so much better than moore. the gap should be the distance between aaron rodgers and his backup, yet tannehill sucks so bad, that many ppl r questioning whether he has a future in the nfl as a starter.

Matt Moore definitely doesn't and his (Tannehill) play has been better than Matty Ice's as of late. People make me laugh by trying to put this on 1 person....this is a team thing not a QB thing, just like last year. Matt Moore came in to the same team last year threw 2 picks in 6 attempts and fumbled. This team has to improve including Tanne's play....and I think it will as we get Pouncey back, more time for the O-line to jel, and more time in this new offense. It definitely will not improve with Matt Moore coming in, just like it didn't improve in Buffalo. The shear notion that 1 long pass makes up for 2 ints and a fumble in 5 pass attempts following that ONE pass is laughable at best.

I think the issue the fans have is they aren't seeing the kind of progress they feel the Dolphins should be making. Three years into the Philbin-Tannehill era and a lot of the same problems persist: coming out flat for big games, lack of energy and toughness, inability to connect on long passes and accuracy issues in general, RT seeming to get rattled when he takes a couple early hits.

The fans have every right to expect more than that. That shouldn't happen with a good team.

That said, I'm keeping an open mind for a few more games. This was a tough matchup any way you cut it, and, as the OP said, there are a lot of teams that figured to be better than the Dolphins who are worse off right now. The Dolphins get a few key players back in the next few weeks, and we'll get a better idea if this team is better, worse, or the same brand of mediocre we've been seeing, by the middle of the season. There's a lot of parity in the NFL and I'm not going to judge things based on one game against a team that has our number.

yup, of course its a team thing, because it fits ur agenda..

u liked henne, u like tannehill. whenever we lost with henne, u were saying the same exact thing as u r now with tannehill '' its a team game, not one player crap''.

go back and read your posts when matt moore was qb in 2011, whenever we won, it was defense, when we lost a game and moore had 1 bad turnover in that game, even if we were still leading in that game when moore left the field for the last time that game ( cowboy game) its all on moore.

qb is what makes the offense go. if the qb plays well, our offense will look good. if the qb craps the bed, the offense looks like s**t. tannehill is a major part of our crap play for a while now, he is the qb, the most important position on the field.

Dude, I don't have an agenda like some on here who definitely do!...except my agenda is to win! The other thing is I want to see if Tanne can be a franchise QB or not....this is HIS YEAR to do so. What I do know is inserting Matt Moore does nothing for this team now or for the future. Tanne's big knock is the long ball and yes he has some under throws again this year, but anyone with 2 eyes without a Matt Moore agenda can see in 2 games he has had 3 longballs that were thrown were the receiver should make the play (Wallace, Sims, and Hartline)....2 should have been TDs. The other thing is while Tanne did not play a great game against Buffalo, he had serveral passes dropped on good passes that would have been first downs that ended up stalling drives. He was also consistently under pressure. Tanne did not give up a 105 yard touchdown return nor did he cover Watkins. The only pick he threw was at the very end of the game. I also thought it was a gutless call to not try to put points on the board at the end of the half with time outs left. This was an ENTIRE team loss.

We are 2 games into a new offense with 5 new starters on the line and 1-1, call me an optimist but I am excited to see what happens from here, especially after we get everyone back! This is Tanne's year to sink or swim and I think and I hope that he and this team improves....if it doesn't changes will be made. One change I know that does not need to be made is Matt Moore at QB....it does nothing for this team!
