news flash corey simon is already a COLT

Saving 3 mil by cutting that scrub is a must either way.You easily replace that scrub with just about any QB available at a cheaper price.

what ever saban does he needs to move fast cut feeley with all the other camp fodder promote sage to starter gus to back up

you can't keep paying a guy millions to through TD's the other way give me a couple thousand if you want that.......

Wait a minute. One week ago, Feeley was the guy who should be the starter. What's happened to change that?
:laughat: Sign me up...I was one of the morons that thought Feeley was an option......now I will crawl in my hole...... :escape:

I didn't see anything, but did Berlin get added to the PS? I am NOT saying start Berlin here, but it could allow him to be #3, which I think he could handle, and allow Sage to be #2...Feeley = buh bye

bahaha.. Its like a New Orleans mob mentality in here.. If you want to cut AJ for a crappy performance, Gus should be cut too.. Keep Sage as first string and sign Brock and Rohan as backups.

Crazy but true

I think next year it may be realistic to say neither Gus nor AJ could be here.

I think youre right. my prediction:: GUs will retire and Aj might be out of football, unless some other team is desperate for a 2nd stringer.

First off, your attitude in all these Feeley threads is getting annoying, grow up will you.

Second, where are you pulling this Brees and Leaf crap from? Oh, that's right, just from somewhere to try and make your post logical and to continue your arguing. This has nothing to do with them so it is irrelevant.

Third. I have been saying since the end of last year Feeley is not the answer, we saw what he had last year and he didn't show he had "it". His play through minicamps, training camp, and preseason this year continues to prove what I believed true following the end of last season....he does not have what it takes to be a starter in the NFL, nor will he ever. This is in reply to the countless people (like yourself) who continued to say he needs more time with the system, he needs more game experience, he needs to change his facemask and get rid of the one extra bar at the top (as he did this year), he needs to cut his fingernails shorter so he can grip better, etc...etc....

LOL So far I am the only one of us 2 that have given any basis for my OPINION! All you san say "I said I was right" YOU are the one who needs to grow up. Maybe I will listen to Saban press conference today to see if he mentions you in hie comments lettiung the world now he found out who to start from you. Your self-praising style annoys me.

Many believed he wasnt the answer, why all of sudden are you smarter than them? Fact is you KNEW nothing, you believed, and that belief may have come right, that dont mean it was fact last Sept.

I am pulling Brees and Leaf? Yeah cause their relevant to the point. You said you KNEW. How? Your superior intellect? Your vast NFL coaching experience? You obviously know more than Kosar, Simms, Theisman and Jaws last week who actually played the position in teh NFL and know what it would take to play in the league who all said that Feeley had talent and COULD, NOT WOULD, COULD be a good player. The jury was out and it was divided, among ACTUAL experts, not self proclaimed experts. So I believed that AJ COULD POSSIBLY develop. I still think he can, but I think at this point we cannot hang our hopes on it anymore.

The point wasnt that you didnt beleief or your belief was unfounded, it is your superior attitude. My point isnt that your belief doesnt appear to be right, it is your thumping your chest as if you are so much smarter than us, if you are you obviously know more than some pretty good NFL qbs.

At least your man enough to admit it some people will still argue the point when he is gone and coaching the QB position in a pee wee league.

I guess everyone here wanted GB to cut Farve last year when he threw 4 picks in that one game?! Don't get me wrong, AJ played HORRIBLE. He definitely does not deserve to start, but it was a bad game. Everyone has a bad day.

If it were just the one game, i would agree with you. UNfortunately, it has been way more than just ONE game. Plus with the $$ hes making, he needs to go.

AJ had his chance to show last nite he was ready to start. I am not one that is saying AJ will never develop. But last nite there was pressure on him to earn the job, and he didnt respond. I just am not sold at this point that he handles pressure well.

OK guys he's learning a completely new system while competing against a guy who's been familiar with it for years. He's had maybe a full games worth of playtime this preseason. If every coach thought like you guys did..... Guys like Kurt Warner/Trent Green would have been looking for new day-jobs years ago. I'm positive that if they told AJ he was "the guy" Early on and gave him every snap necessary, we would be in a much better situation.

If anyone needs to be cut its Gus!!!

Hes 32 yrs old
He can't outperform AJ at all, and hes actually familiar with the playbook.

I'm still waiting for the moment in which we can fairly judge AJ. Until then.....
GET A CLUE YO!!!!

Learning a new system is the same excuse as last year. I had patience with Feeley last year, but now I've run out. Linehan's playbook is way more simpler than the one the Dolphins were using last year. He's been learning this playbook since the first week of MARCH. We have a rookie in the NFL, who's had less time with his playbook and team than Feeley, and he's outplaying Feeley against first teamers. The rookie I'm talking about is Kyle Orton. This learning the new system excuse is no longer an excuse. Feeley's pick 6s are well documented and have been a serious cancer to what the Fins have been trying to accomplish. The fans are tired of it, and I know the players don't want another year of a QB throwing TDs to the other team. Like I said before in an earlier post, it all boils down to "the lesser of two evils," and that is Gus Frerotte. He's a veteran that will not make the costly mistakes that Feeley makes, at least; not as often. You can keep waiting for that "moment" for AJ to be "fairly" judged, but my opinion; Feely hasn't done anything against any of the opponents first teamers to warrant that chance.

If you want to talk about giving someone that "moment" to be fairly "judged", it should be Sage, at least he's been playing well against the backups, but he's never got a chance be fairly judged playing with the first team.. A.J. had plenty of chances. Now don't get it twisted, I don't want Sage to start either. Gus is the logical choice right now. When we had a gameplan against Tampa Bay, that first drive was beautiful and Gus was the man who drove them down the field.

Can you stradle the fence anymore??? Obviously you were a Kerry supporter last year.

AJ will never develop, take my previous posts here and in other threads (especially one I specifically focused on his mechanics) as me being an "egomaniac". This way, in less than a year when he is cut I won't have to listen to you bring up completely irrelevant stories theorizing what my analysis of Leaf or Brees was 3-5 years ago when I was never even here.

The hard truth is that IMO if we were to cut Feeley not one team in the NFL would give him a job. Not as starter, backup or mopup. He wouldn't make a roster anywhere so why should he be on ours? He's regressed and will never grasp the mental aspects of the game. Maybe Urlacher scrambled his brains in the Bear game. I've seen enough of this guy. I've been saying this for weeks. We lost a #2, Spielmans' a clown, end of story.
