It's time to cut Feeley

AJ is 30, not a young rookie.

I have not suggested starting Sage, that boat has sailed, although I would put him at #2. When you say he couldn't even beat out Feeley, I say roster's not set yet and Nick sounded like he was considering it, so he may have beaten him out. And yes, we are in for a long season with any of the 3.
uhm, AJ is 28, but that is still too high to hold hopes out on for a guy who is going on his 5th year in the league and can't show adequate hold on a starting spot.

Well I believe if you cut one you might as well cut the other

Man - I sure am starting to miss Jay Fiedler and that is sad...:(

I haven't gotten to that point, and not sure that I ever will. If AJ had Fiedler's brains we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I'd love to see him cut. If we do, we should pick up either Smoker or Fitzpatrick form St. Louis, whichever one gets cut. Both have shown promise and I would say are worth a flyer on as a project.

More suggestions for 3rd string scrubs to fill our franchise QB needs!

Where do you people come up with this stuff? Someone still has to run the team. They may be equally horrible but someone has to QB. I say keep Gus, and ditch Feeley. Pick up Couch in the interim and evaluate him all season. He could be the answer. If he's not then draft a 1st round QB. It will take ANY QB probably a year before he's really comfortable. Why not let Couch start his year now and maybe a year now he'll be ready. In any case we need someone there until the next QB is ready.

You're right they are 3rd stringers. But Smoker is a 2nd year and Fitz is a rookie. Only one can make it and they have both looked good. I'm not saying they would help us this year, but they show more potential than Touchy Feeley.

Sorry, I stand (actually sit) corrected. :) But you got and agreed with my point.

Get over it guys. We're not cutting or adding any qb's at this point. Too late for somebody to come in and learn the system. We'll suffer through this year as best we can and address it next year. Unless of course, AJ has a season ending a$$ injury.

I'm not talking about bringing him in to start, I'm talking about bringing him in as 3rd string to start with and maybe moving up to backup. Evaluate him and if he does well in practive maybe he could start the last few games and show what he has. Worst that happens is he is a bust and we draft a QB.

Both QBs will be starting this season. Not necessarily because they will get pulled for lousy play, but because of injury. Playing behine this pathetic o-line is gonna get someone pulverized. That's why we ended up playing Sage last season. So, everyone relax, we'll get a chance to see our full QB allocation.

LOL AJ played horrid last nite, that I do not dispute. But so has Gus. Sorry 2/3 doesnt change that. He went 9 for 25 last week after having a good first series. You can project hius stats all you want, but fact is he generally got worse as teh game went on in each game he started. Oh and I say that but believe Gus should start.

My point is, if you say AJ should get cut based on performance in one game, Gus should have been cut in teh 1st cuts.

Yeah I know you have a myriad of excuses ready. I CANT wait to read thse "facts".

5 of Frerotte's passes wered dropped that week, you forget to mention that part, as do all Feeley butt-hummers.

Feeley hasn't learned the system either, so what's the difference with bringing someone else in? There isn't Feeley, sad to say it should go and learn some new tools on Playstation 2 with the other ****** we had at QB Ray Lucas, they would be a great tandem.

OLINE sucking or not Feeley sucks either way. He has yet to complete a pass of 40 yards or more all of last year, or this preseason, unless you count all the return for TDs that were over 40 yards!!
