Jake Long put on PUP list

yeah not worried about it right now. Troy Polamalu and Casey Hampton are put on the PUP quite a bit by the Steelers (Hampton cause he's normally too big) but they're always ready for week 1.

I guess the restriction was just for Free agents then because I know Garner or Murtha cannot practice until Wed or Thrus because they agreed to their RFA tenders. Signed FA are in the same pool, like I said, I was under the impression newly signed rookies were in that pool also. If he is practicing, that is great. Still wary of a rookie at c and no jake at lt and rg spot up in the air. IMO then, I am glad Berger will be sitting the bench. I was not at all impressed with him like some were.

No, there is a certain date, I believe sometime in Oct. A player can be removed from Pup anytime before that certain date. If he is on it after that date and is not activated then I believe he must go on IR
 
The fact that Jake is at practice doing rehab work on the side is encouraging. I would feel real bad about his regular season status if he was missing from the field and they said they sent him to a specialist. It is possible he could be on PUP(if he is even on it to begin with) for a few days or maybe just a week.

And Jake was conditioning with the others during the labour scuttle butt - doesn't sound like a 6 week issue

Relax Dude its just an opinion & I'll be the 1st to say Ive been wrong before but just seems to me that speed or an accurate arm are harder to come by than just being huge...So personally I would never pass over a great QB prospect if I need one to get a OL.
Deep breaths...You will get through this...
 
Not the biggest deal here, but we have said the same things about Crowder, Garner, Will Allen, Roth, Jerry during this regimes tenure and they end up lasting longer than we would like. There is a reason we cut our entire training staff after the season . . . hopefully these guys are better.
 
If Long misses any games , than I blame sparano for playing a banged up Long in worthless games. Way too early to tell though
 
big jake is a lock to start. all the other spots have yet to be locked in. if jake is out there is it a huge advantge to everyone next to him. without him it shows exactly what players make their own holes. itll be good for pouncey and co in my opinion.
 
I think putting Jake on the PUP list just allows the Dolphins to add another body during camp. jake can still practice and do rehab. it's nothing serious.
