Jason Cole: Dolphins concerned about Tannehill

Yes, the whole criticism of Matt Moore throwing an interception in a game where Tannehill threw for 82 yards and only 10 completions on 27 pass attempts gets me every time.

Moore was in for 6 plays in that game. he threw 2 INT's and fumbled once

I do not want Moore to start but some of the arguments against him drive me nuts. Bottom line, the best the Miami Dolphins offense has looked since like 1999 was with Matt Moore running it at the end if 2011. Can anyone really disput that? Four 30+ point games, seems unheard of as a dolphins fan doesn't it? I don't care about the opponents as I'm sure in Ryan Tannehills 32 starts we've faced plenty of weak opponents and didn't score 30+ points. I want Tannehill to start and succeed but I don't think the guys arguing for Moore are definitely wrong and certainly see their points.

Now you're just playing games. He had them with Carolina. He only had two opps with Miami.

I'm stating fact. 12 starts seems like plenty of opportunity

and in Carolina he got 5 wins against winning teams in 4 years

He tore his labrum. The whole Carolina team went to crap after a rough start after numerous serious injuries. They tanked the rest of the year and Fox was fired.

He played terrible and was replaced before he was injured.

They can't dispute it, but they'll try unfortunately.

You're going to judge him based on 4 games after becoming the starter for the first time in his young career? Really? But PATIENCE FOR TANNEHILL!

I didn't even mention they started giving Clausen reps in game after like Week 3-4 as John Fox got desperate.

Threw 10 picks in 5 games.

Ya, he only threw 9 when he was our starter so what's your point? Here's his story for the 2010 season .... torn labrum, not to mention suffered a concsussion in Week 1 and then Clausen started getting snaps and the team tanked.

"Moore suffered a concussion during the season opener at the New York Giants, and he was benched the following week in a loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following poor play.[14] On September 20, 2010, Moore was removed as the Panthers starting quarterback in favor of rookie Jimmy Clausen, after throwing 4 interceptions in the first two games.

After sitting out for 3 straight games, Moore was again declared the Panthers starting quarterback on October 18, 2010, following poor play by Clausen. In his first game back as a starter against the San Francisco 49ers, Moore completed 28 passes on 41 attempts for 308 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, setting career highs in yards and completions.

In a week 9 loss to the New Orleans Saints, Moore injured his shoulder after a hit from Sedrick Ellis. He was placed on injured reserve by the Panthers, ending his season."

I see we got ourselves an internet tough guy.

Nothing "tough guy" about it. Just didn't want an infraction for what I really had to say. Especially since I took the time to spell it out for you (not a copy and paste) and all you had in return was the 3 generic drivils that you've clung to for this entire thread.

With that said, is this still true in your quote concerning Moore.

I'd say he can take punishment.

Please insert the name Ryan Tannehill into that story and tell me you wouldn't be barking for PATIENCE! GIVE THE GUY A CHANCE!

You won't though. That was a disaster season on all levels and to judge Moore ONLY on it after he was concussed in game one and was having to split games with Clausen, THEN tearing his labrum. C'mon bruh.

Even if you want to dog him for that train wreck of a year the Panthers had, he still came in and did something with this Dolphins offense that it hasn't seen in a decade (vs. bad or good teams).
