We can blame Sparano, Ireland, Philbin or now Aponte. There is always somebody you can blame who is an underling. It always comes down to Ross being either too absentee or incompetent.

How is it that the negative coverage and attitude towards this team actually increased after Ireland was fired? Unreal
When you're an absentee owner it's impossible to see what the underlings are doing all the time. You have to go by what people tell you to make an evaluation of the character of the people working for you.
I bet you every owner that is at the facility daily has no questions what peoples roles will be. He will have seen the dynamics first hand.
About time you came around on Ross...

Yeah, not sure why anyone would be scared of Aponte. It seems to me, she'll only get involved, when it comes to the cap. The new GM will suggest players he wants, and let Aponte figure out if we can afford them. That's it. It's not like the new GM will have to go to Aponte and see if she thinks the players are a good fit. People are just blowing things way out of proportion. GM's can come in and work with an existing Head Coach. It's happened before, and Philbin is a new HC in the big scheme of things, I don't think Philbin is so stuck in his ways, that he won't listen the the GM.
We don't need a GM and personnel guy in the same cloth. It's better that Aponte is the GM cause she is also the contracts person and should be in charge of hiring and firing the Director of personnel and the coach. That is a more stable structure. Phins really only need Director of Personnel.
