Jim Turner fired

Barry Jackson ‏@flasportsbuzz 2m

The decision to fire Jim Turner and Kevin O'Neill was made by Steve Ross, by the way.Ross will meet with Jonathan Martin soon.

And of course no comment from Philbin. Is he a leader? Everything so far is leaning toward no, he is not. Hopefully he learns how to lead and shows as such in the upcoming days

Everybody here knew Tuner would be the sacrificial lamb after bully gate. Time to move on

He made a statement. Get off your high horse.

Any word if Philbin fought to keep them? I would not be surprised if he did. His loyalty is extremely flawed

Philbin hired Benton so I would say he did not fight to keep him. He knew he was out.

If what you say is true, then WOW... Philbin did the same exact thing that Ross gets bashed for when Ross tried to hire Harbough while still employing The Meatball. Wow, that makes Philbin look even worse.

He was hired as an assistant now he's been promoted. Slow down and gather the news before jumping on Philbin.

Not really. Benton was hired as the assistant offensive line coach, he just simply gets elevated now.

By all appearances, by way of a pink slip, we just upgraded the coaching function :idk:

Peter King is ripping Philbin on twitter. Called his statement "a vanilla piece of dung".
