What ever happened to all the posts talking about how Richard Marshall was our new safety and because of that the position is just so much more improved than last year?

Agree. I see a different scenario as well.
Jones was pretty bad last season.

I have a hunch that Marshall was signed to play CB and eventually replace Sean Smith after Smith is allowed to walk after the season as a F/A!!!

He will compete with Sean Smith for the 2nd CB.

he will be a back up safety at best. Theres no way he will be starting for us unless he just dominates in training camp. Safety is still a huge need going into the draft, were not just going to stick some 7th round rookie as our starting ss unless hes just that good which he isnt.

I think he fits at the FS position. Jones and Wilson have the potential to be a good combo.
