Joe Rose reporting our O line looks better now then at any point last year

Did Joe say anything about Feeley or just the O-Line?

I got to work right as he was making the comments about the Oline so I don't know if he mentioned Feeley afterwards.

I don't know how your Oline will turn out, They were pretty bad last year, but who knows.

But if you asked me to list 5 things that coaching can't help those would be two.

Being focused and aggresive are things that you are or you aren't.
I agree, aggression is natural, but if you've got a coach that is gna beat you up and get on your back if you make mistakes you are going to be more focused.

I guess, but i think a coach can provide more in the area of technique, and where to be, rather than intangibles.

Besides, if a guy isn't focused he shouldn't be in the NFL.

our o-line is going to be fine with Houck coaching them, we dont need nobody new, our linemen arent bad they were just coached really bad last year.

I thought that this was a place for dolphin fans,... all this negativity just SUCKS!!! have a little faith in our fins

Being focused and aggressive comes out after you know what you are doing and your not getting bulled over because the coach always has you in the wrong postion or expecting something different..

These were 5 guys(practically rookies) that played together for the first time last year and with a ****ty and discombobulated (sp), inconsistent coaching staff on the sidelines you really shouldn't expect an offense(offensive line) to perform well.

I expect the offensive line to be the least of our problems next year.

Oline doesnt need pads on to simulate as much as other positions. I played RT at the semipro level. It is all about reps and assignments. If you know without a shadow of a doubt exactly what you are supposed to do it can make up for some lack of physical ability. And lets face it, if theese guys have gotten this far they have enough ability they just need to be coached enough to know assignments and technique. O line id all about reps. I would rather have 20 non contact plays than 5 contact ones. Obviously at some point they need to get the feel for the speed and strength of the game before the season starts but oline is all mental.

blah blah blah...just another bills fan that knows every reason every other team isn't going to win and every reason the bills will. it's the same song and dance every year from you guys. it's funny, too, how JP has done absolutely nothing, yet is the next jim kelly...give me a break the bills aren't any more of a threat than anyone else...

Im hoping that you are being blatantly sarcastic. That, or youre just a bonehead. We dont need any new lineman. What they needed was a good coach. Someone who would teach them how to be aggressive and keep focused. Houck is doing that.

Theres no substitute for having an O-line with a high morale. That bodes well for us, and doesnt bode very well for the D-line on opposing teams.
I was being sarcastic.

I find it quite perplexing when I see a person preach patience and hope for one segment of the team, while condemning another part of the same team as an utter failure not worthy of any of the same consideration.

Of course, maybe it's because I'm a bonehead that I'm so confused, who knows.

Huh? Focus can't be taught? Riiiight. I suppose, going over something over and over and over again won't teach focus? Concertraiing, reading, studying and doing the drills over and over won't improve focus? I suppose sitting on the bench or doing your job won't teach focus? Come on, that's silly. Focus can be taught, it can be tooled, polished, etc. As for aggression, sure, just get some of the roids from Boston and give them to the OL and they'll go on a roid rage and be very aggressive.

I agree, I don't understand why we gave up on Lamar Gordon so quickly? After expending a high third rounder on him just last year, after only getting to see him for a game and a half, at a time when the O-line was playing its worst. We showed a lot of impatience in drafting Ronnie Brown #2.

And why did we sign Stockar McDougle? Shouldn't we have given last years line another season to improve, mature? lack of patiience.

At least we are showing patience with the single most important position in football, allowing AJ to start another season without the pressure of a drafted rookie prospect.
