Joe Rose reporting our O line looks better now then at any point last year

I agree, I don't understand why we gave up on Lamar Gordon so quickly? After expending a high third rounder on him just last year, after only getting to see him for a game and a half, at a time when the O-line was playing its worst. We showed a lot of impatience in drafting Ronnie Brown #2.

And why did we sign Stockar McDougle? Shouldn't we have given last years line another season to improve, mature? lack of patiience.

At least we are showing patience with the single most important position in football, allowing AJ to start another season without the pressure of a drafted rookie prospect.
I dunno man...

Ronnie and Stockar are huge upgrades. Ronnie over Lamar and Stockar over St Clair.

I think we might have taken Brown because he was the BPA. However, I have never given up on Gordon. I think we have two backs that are going to be able to help this team win games.

I'm sure that if a QB was BPA at the time that any of our picks were made, we would have taken one of them.

It's silly to reach for a player simply because of a perceived need by the fans.

I guess, but i think a coach can provide more in the area of technique, and where to be, rather than intangibles.

Besides, if a guy isn't focused he shouldn't be in the NFL.

What about people who ARE focused, just on the wrong things? Ricky was focused on when he was gonna get his next toke. So since he WAS focused, just on something besides football, could you petition the NFL to let him back in football so we can trade his a$$ a get a mid round pick.......from some moron like Al Davis. :D

blah blah blah...just another bills fan that knows every reason every other team isn't going to win and every reason the bills will. it's the same song and dance every year from you guys. it's funny, too, how JP has done absolutely nothing, yet is the next jim kelly...give me a break the bills aren't any more of a threat than anyone else...

WTF are you talking about?!?!

I didn't say anything about the Bills in my post. I said nothing about Losman. I didn't bash the Fins.

You should try read before you quote a post.

He's right and he has a point.

Maybe you should stop with the personal insults.

He said he spoke to some of the veteran players on offense, he didn't mention any names, and said they're very optimistic and excited about the offense. The players said that even though they haven't put the pads on yet the Oline is looking much better than it did at any point last year.

I'm guessing the only thing they'd be doing without pads is working on technique and becoming a cohesive unit.....good news nonetheless. Maybe someone can comment as to what they might be working on. Anyways, it seems as though Houck is working his magic once again.

Bottom line...COACHING.... You'll see the same with the rest of the team too.. I'm not talking SUPER BOWL but this team really does have potential.

Insult deleted.

But com'on, he has a point?

All I said was agression isn't something you teach. Thats true for any team. You guys are sensetive.

i hope it got better. last year they sucked. kinda hard to get worse.....

that wasnt nice, but its true.

No it's not something you teach but it is an Attitude/style of play (passive vs. aggressive) that is transcended from the sidelines.

Say it right or don't say anything at all!

I agree. We'll actually be prepared for our opponents this year and not have all of our weaknesses exposed without the ability to adjust. Should be interesting...

So you are saying that you can take a guy who plays like a pansy and make him a mauler through coaching?

Keep believing that.

If a guy dosen't play aggresivly on the O-Line he shouldn't be on the team, screw teaching it.

If you need coaching to tell your lineman to try hard and not play passivly than you've got big problems.

You obviously have never played any sport in your life and my point went totally over your head (to be expected).

I will leave it at that, good day. :cooldude:

Yeah, I started to respond to the same comment about three times but decided to exercise a little bit of restraint as well. Well said.

I've played Lacrosse since I was 6, all through HS, I played in college, I play in leqagues to this day.

I played hockey til I moved to Ohio.

I played football in Middle and High School.

Don't tell me about sports.

You need to be aggresive by nature. Sure excitment can be generated from the sidelines, but if you aren't aggresive by nature, you won't ever be.

Get a clue.
