Jon Martin - "I will kill your entire family"

Fox was level headed because glazer told them what was really going in the relationship. Glazer has the texts and he can see through all of Martin's bs. I'm sure he relayed all of his info to the fox team well before the show aired. That's why fox is the only network not doing the chicken dance.

Naw I don't buy that. The other networks have plenty of former players who jumped to critical conclusions and it was very hypocritical IMO. They know this crap goes on, it should take a guy like Glazer to tell them what was happening because they've been around it plenty in their careers but they acted like they haven't been. It was sickening.

I saw Tom Jackson about to start a tirade on understanding "the history of the word".... Changed the channel. The history of the word doesn't mean **** here. Look at how the word is used NOW. I just think it's a bitch move to use this opportunity to get on a soap box and pile on Incognito and make him look even worse than what's been shown.

Funny how when someone says "gay" in a derogatory way, if they were to use the "history of the word" defense and suggest they were saying a person was generally "happy" they would get laughed at.

Evolve people.

Shannon Sharp "blarg blarge blarrrrge blargeeded, blalalalelalsrg"

However, Sterling this morning rocked. Basically said he would have done anything to be in the NFL locker room because it is such a privilege. OHara and Branch agreed. I could tell they wanted to throw Martina under the bus

Let's see what's in those 1,000 texts. That may help, a little. But in the end, they're going to see it as Incognito setting the tone, being the leader, being the agressive party, and Martin going along with it until it became too much. In the end, they look to veterans as taking more of the responsibility, and they're not wrong there. If Incognito is your leader on the offensive line and in the locker room, it's not the best situation.

Well, I do think more will come out about this. Not so much about Incognito himself, but about the broader culture (players and coaches). Cornwell's statement referred to it. From Martin's perspective I think the Incognito voicemail was probably just the best place to start... a way to set the tone of what they're trying to allege by destroying a guy who already had a bad reputation.

At this point I tend to think what pushed Martin over the edge wasn't Incognito but these other things. We'll see what comes out. As I've said before, a relatively quick settlement of this whole thing wouldn't surprise me.

Martin is not mentally ill, he is playing mentally ill. He went for mental heath treatment for what 5 minutes?
This whole incident was planned out with his parents. The "mentally ill" part is BS. It is the escape door if it all (the scheme/lawsuit) falls through.

but, but....Richie made the players text like that....if they didn't he would fine them....Martin was just trying to fit in....

Not with 1042 text messages. It clearly shows a friendship. They can try an blame Incognito all they want. But now Martin has a lot to worry about because the text show he was using derogatory language too!!!

Not sure what you're watching, but every channel I watched a few minutes ago decimated us. They blamed our leadership, blamed incognito, and praised Martin for walking away instead of getting a gun. I've watched several channels.

They also said, that the one thing they fear, and depore, is that because of the Miami Dolphin situation now the NFL and the public is "in our locker room" and now it will be harder to do what you want and be relaxed, without having someone over your shoulder or impose restrictions because of one bad situation in Miami.

Obviously you were not watching Fox Sports Sunday where immediately after Incognito interview they all softened their own with Stranahan toning it down, Bradshaw saying we need to quit rushing to judgement and Johnson blaming it largely on the stress Martin of losing, bad play and then being replaced.

Glazer is a legit reporter. I trust that he verified the text came from a phone number attributed to Jonathan Martin.

And all of it can be electronically verified by the telecom company involved, and technical experts can validate that they've not been doctored in any way. All this, IF, it ever goes to court. I doubt it ever will.

thing is, how is this a strike? We're going to regulate the language use when players text each other?

It doesn't matter, he was gone at the end of the year anyway. Martin was also probably done as a starter too. They just now have a reason to suspend him without pay.

Johnathan Martin your SHOW is OVER!!!! Good Night!!! Cog's the friend you've forgotten to let the public know about, just proved your farce about bullying and racism. Time to STOP the BULL!!!!
