Just found our future OC.

which Super Bowl offense did Henning coach?

Two Super Bowl victories as offensive coordinator of the Redskins and an appearance as the OC of the Panthers in 2003. Not that it matters, because he was godawful bad, but there it is.

Kubiak would be a great addition. Having been hyping the possibility for weeks. He's not a head coach. Too milquetoast and doesn't demand respect. He may get another HC job but I think his future is as a coordinator.

Why?

The texans were contenders just last year. I think he runs a great system.

When he was in Denver Shanahan gets the credit for the offensive production because he called the plays, in Houston he couldn't win when it counted with good talent....he beat the Bengals two yrs in a row in a home wild card game with Super Bowl talent on his team, couldn't get any farther than that......he's an underachiever

At the Texans Kubiak was lacking a top end QB, other than that is O was really good. The oline was continually good even with castoffs like Wade Smith, TEs good, WR good, RB good, just a really balanced O. How much credit Kubiak deserves for that I suspect a good bit. Having said all that, can't see him ending up in Miami, think we have Sherman for next year.

A good OC does not always make a good HC. IMO he would make a great OC. Norv Turner is a VG OC but a crap HC. Cam Cameron (back in the day) was a great OC but a crap HC. Rex Ryan is a crap HC but a great DC.

Some OC's are also lucky enough to make good HC's.

if i had to bet on it i think sherman returns also and we unleash the full no huddle o from the get go next year...i don't think they want to put a hiccup in that plan by starting over at oc

Unfortunately I think you are right (ive been thinking this for weeks).

Kubiak is too soft & conservative. His offense and playcalling are also extremely predictable. On several occasions opponents have alluded to the fact that they knew exactly what plays were coming in certain key situations. Kubiak is a dinosaur that has no place in the modern NFL.

I agree a good OC doesn't always make a good HC.....my issue is I don't think he was a good OC....

Sherman looks older. He could retire but that may wait until something really good happens (we go to SB and win) or something really bad happens (philbin gets fired).

while I'd love to have Kubiac.....actually I believe Henning coached the close but no cigar Jake Delhomme Carolina SB offense, didnt he? (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth)

ok, let's define: Henning has 2 (Was)... Kubiak's got 3 (1-SF, 2-Den); we've had Henning, let's Get Gary

Henning (under Joe Gibbs) was the OC when the skins beat the phins in SB 27.
