Key match ups JETS vs DOLPHINS

I think it's compounded by the fact that he's not going to be nearly as easy to double team as he was in the past. Alot of the times he's going to be standing up and blitzing, and not just from the OLB/DE position, but from any linebacker position in both the 4-3 and 3-4. With the Jets blitz pickup, he's got the potential for a big game.

Curtis is excellent at picking up blitzes and I would suspect they'd leave him in more than usual to help out.

its Def harder to hit a moving target...on a side note I think the new D will add a year or 2 to JTs career not being constantly double teamed.

Martin is decent blocker, especially for being 5'11" 205. "Excellent" is a pretty big overstatement. Martin is someone you want going out as a passer, not blocking. If Martin is spending alot of time picking up blitzes, he's going to be spending just as much time picking Pennington back up.

After week one there should be at least one thing that's evident regarding Miami...When you play Saban's Dolphins you will be playing a physical football team!...Saban has said several times that what we want is for teams to hate playing us...That's the message that we sent against DEN...We played physical and we slapped them around the place...And I doubt that they're looking forward to another go at us anytime soon...For the Jets to beat Miami they need to get into that Physical mindset or they will go down hard again.

MIA players are saying that we didn't even scratch the surface of our defensive playbook against DEN...I'm supremely confident from an X's and O's standpoint with Saban and Linehan at the helm. As long as we play with Toughness and Discipline...and Gus keeps his poise...I think we can beat anybody. MIAMI 35 NYJ 17

haha -- funny comments -- some jets fans like all teams overreact 00 some people forget that football is 16 games anbd lack a lot of understanding of how the game is actually played...they listen to annoucners and look s at stats -- youhave to know why something did or didn't happen -- for all we know that is some 15 year old kid making comments through some tears

David Barret Vs. Marty Booker.
Wes Welker Vs whoever they put on him. I say we just flat out avoid ty law. hes problematic for us. throw the other way all game long.

One thing for sure is Saban will look for wound and pound like a boxer. What the NFL has been used to with Wanny around is he would try to put a square peg in a round hole and instead of looking for the square and adapting he would try to force the square into the round hole. Saban won't, he will let Linehan look for the mismatch and attack it. This is a very different Miami team, and that is just in attitude alone. Love the comments from the players. The NFL seems to think this is was a fluke the players KNOW it wasn't. Get the running game going with Ronnie getting the nervousness out and just play football we will have something, add Ricky in the mix once her comes out and we should have something special. DC's will have nightmares come mid. season on. Can't wait for Sunday.

Madison vs. Coles; Mawae vs. Thomas; Taylor vs. Fabini; and whichever Fin Wr vs. Barrett; Mcmichael vs. their 2 young safeties.

NYJUNC you are way too reasonable to be a Jet fan.
Jet-week is no fun unless you guys start making ridiculous claims about how badly the Jets will beat us.

It must have been a bad loss to the Chiefs if Jet fans are suddenly humble.
Be classy after the game. Until then, we're going to kick your sorry A**!!!

A lot of teams that have gone into arrowhead stadium have been pounded. I vividly remember a couple times the Bills played there and got thumped pretty good.

The Jets look like they have some problems but they are definitely not that bad....as well as KC being that good.

I think the jets will be competetive all year, as well as the dolphins if they remotely perform like they did on SUN against the Broncos.

Mawae vs. Traylor. He's got to push past him to take out Zach in the middle. If Traylor can hold Mawae back that puts a hamper on their running game and lets Zach roam forcing them to throw. Sounds pretty much like what happened against the Broncos. Contain the run, force the throw and allow the safeties to sit back helping the corners. If that happens...we'll do good.

It's not Mawae who has to hold Traylor it's their RG Brandon Moore, who Surtain wants some payback on....

Don't worry Pat, we'll do it.

By the way in the past has anybody noticed that Madison has covered Coles better than Surtain did?

Mawae isnt strong enough to deal with big, 2-gap Nose Tackles 1v1. Ted Washington has dominated him his whole career. That's why you never saw Mawae anywhere near Zach when both Chester and Bowens were healthy.

The way I see it is Denver had a top 5 defense and we scored 27 points on them. What rank defense do the Jets have? Flip it over and our D is probably better than last year and is the Jet offense better or worse than last year. I see a Dolphin win come Sunday.
