Key match ups JETS vs DOLPHINS

How about Chad Pennington vs. the ground? They will collide many times with the ground winning about every matchup. Also there will be a good battle between the jets fans and tears, with the tears winning in a landslide. 0-2 will be hard to handle for these guys. The yankees put some pride in them and now they feel like they can win at anything. sorry.

How will the Fish be with your DE's in your opinion?

I think that's a scar matchup for you guys. Abe looked great on Sunda and w/ another week of practice should be close to normal.

Madison vs. Coles; Mawae vs. Thomas; Taylor vs. Fabini; and whichever Fin Wr vs. Barrett; Mcmichael vs. their 2 young safeties.

Coles always did well against madison when he was here, mawae dominates Zach BUT you have a 300+ lb load in the middle that can help protect him and mawae struggles against the big fat guys in the middle, Taylor is a big edge for you guys against fabini, Barrett against your #2 is about even, McMichael should have an edge against Rhodes.

NYJUNC you are way too reasonable to be a Jet fan.
Jet-week is no fun unless you guys start making ridiculous claims about how badly the Jets will beat us.

It must have been a bad loss to the Chiefs if Jet fans are suddenly humble.
Be classy after the game. Until then, we're going to kick your sorry A**!!!

i'm not a big trash talker but w/ all that is coming my way I may have to crack some out :D

The way I see it is Denver had a top 5 defense and we scored 27 points on them. What rank defense do the Jets have? Flip it over and our D is probably better than last year and is the Jet offense better or worse than last year. I see a Dolphin win come Sunday.

How did Denver have a top 5 D? Are you going by last year? We had a top 5 D in points allowed last year and were .01 away from #2.

Also there will be a good battle between the jets fans and tears, with the tears winning in a landslide.

Actually that abttle is usually Jason taylor vs. tears and tears win 80% of the time.

i watched how bad the jets played this week but i expect nothing but their best against the phins

The Key To This Game Is Keith Traylor...he Is The Huge Mofo In The Tackle Position That Was In The Way All Game Against The Broncos...i Believe That If He Plays Like He Is Now...he Could Definately Make The Pro Bowl...as An Alternate...he Is A Rock...dude Doesn't Move...and He Slides Somewhat To Make Sure Zack Has The Tackle In The Backfield Or Not Past His Position...when U Get A Natural Nt Playing Dt...ala Coleman Of Atlanta...makes It Tough To Roll Off Of Him W/o A Linebacker Tackling In The Backfield

It's not Mawae who has to hold Traylor it's their RG Brandon Moore, who Surtain wants some payback on....

Don't worry Pat, we'll do it.

By the way in the past has anybody noticed that Madison has covered Coles better than Surtain did?

i dunno coles is a dolphin killer he has burned sam a lot

Here is some thoughts on the Jets by one of their fans.

Reasons for serious concern:

1.) Curtis Martin sure looked every bit his age today. If you think this team can be a legitimate contender with an Eddie George that can't break tackles at running back, then you are delusional.

2.) We have a huge, unfilled hole at defensive tackle. Signing Lance Legree, drafting Sione Bust, and re-upping Tank Reed is not the answer. Our run defense really missed Jason Ferguson out there today. We downplayed his loss, but the bottom line is that he made run defense immensely better.

3.) For a rookie kicker that has huge expectations, the first kick of his career being blocked certainly cannot help his psyche. Nugent has the leg, but so much in regards to kicking is mental. Doug Brien didn't have it mentally. Let's hope Nuge doesn't get Kaeding'd.

4.) Chad is an enigma. When he's blitzed, his IQ drops by 50 points. When he has TOO much time, especially on third down, he tends to panic and force passes into traffic, such as the pass he completed to Surtain today. Also, we can only hope that the fumbles were a freak occurance, and our $64 million dollar question mark hasn't morphed into Dave Kreig in the past seven months.

What do you see as the Key Player Matchups this week?

thier passrush vs. gus, and our blitzing on pennington bear. i think we should also test the age and experience of their safeties.

Let's hope we can avoid a bad start and get a W next week.

Um, let's not. If any dolphin fan did, that would be reason enough for a beatdown. ;)

One thing is certain....

The Jests were not as bad as they looked last week, and we were not as good as we looked last week...

Notice each part of the statement ended with "last week". Get over it, it was a sweet win for us and a needed win...but it's over with....

The Jests D matched up well with Wannyball on O, but this is a different offense. The Jests D, although they looked bad last week, is better than they showed. They were strong against the run last year...I think we rushed for about 8 yards total in 2 games (LOL), but we have to be able to improve our middle run game to be successful...Brown struggled early on, trying to juke guys...he needs to do more of what he did in the second half...pound up the middle to beat the Jests...

On D, if we can rattle Chad early, he'll lose some confidence and JT and crew will just tee off on him...but if they have early success, particularly with the short passing game, it could open up our secondary to be picked on. The secondary is still the weak point on the D but Denver wasn't able to exploit it. Don't plan on Herm not making adjustments like Shanny didn't for whatever reason. He and Heimerdinger (sp) will adjust their O to what we are doing to them...

The positive side of things for us is that we have the coaches ourselves to make adjustments to what the Jests are doing...something we haven't had since JJ was controlling the D...and since Shula was running the O....

well i agree that their run defense will suffer without ferguson... but they were also playing a GREAT rushing team... i dont know if those same lanes will be opened with our oline blocking... but i think if the jets key in to stop our running game gus will do what he did to denver and take what the D gives us, lots of quick passes, slants and such, and when the D tries to take that away we go over the top for some deep passes... should be a good game, im sur ethe jets will come out with full intensity to show that last weeks game was just a fluke
