Knowshon Moreno visits Dolphins/Leaves without deal

It just depends on the $. If you're getting him for 3 mil per (or less), it's a very good signing. He can play, and he does a lot of things well. I'd still look into drafting a RB, but I see nothing to dislike about signing Moreno (assuming the money is right). He's much better than Miller or Thomas. Not even close.

The way the rb market has gone might get this guy cheap and on a short term deal...ie one or 2 years...

I would think that 4.5m over 2 years is not out of the question

If it's me though and I add Moreno the obvious thing to do would be to pair him with Lamar miller and a mid to late round rookie draft pick rb...gillislee needs to go so get him some comp at least as the 3rd rb on the 53...and let the best man win...

Preferably a big downhill back...then work that in a rotation...a bone crusher

Terrance West is an interesting guy. Almost cracked my top 5. I think he's better than Mayock's top guy (Sankey). Might be able to get him later.

Thanks Nick. My question is he enough of an upgrade to help take pressure off of Ryan, gain enough yards and chew up the game clock when we need to. I know his pass blocking alone is a step up, Let's see if Miller steps up to the competition to who ever is brought in.

I would love to see Knowshon in a Miami uni if we didn't have to pay top dollar for him. In fact I am one of the few that would love to see MJD in a Miami uni as well if we couldn't or didn't land any other RB this off season. I just think addressing the RB during a team friendly RB free agency is the way to go. Shore up a position that was average and move on to the draft to fix the rest.

I agree bro.

yep that's a mid round target that would interest me...only thing about west is a lot of mileage on him already...has carried a lot of load...but yeah 4th round target i'd say

I would like to think Eddie Lacey made Philbin rethink what a power running game can do for his offense.

I would like to think that.

I think it makes sense to bring the guy in.

Watching him play with manning he was really in tune with manning (the constant audibles), he is a smart back that blocks well and has good vision. He isn't a superstar by any means. But he could help this offense, and help Miller develop. (Plus it was great seeing him destroy the pats in that regular season game)

He's a short term helper, not the solution. But he is very serviceable in my opinion.

Moreno is a good RB coming off a good year. Including the playoffs, he has 283 carries for 1196, a 4.2 avg, a s YAC average, caused 24 missed tackles, and had 11 TD's. He caught 66 passes for a 9.1 avg, all within 9 yards of the LOS but, did have 6 drops.

He had to pass bock 85 times, giving up 7 pressures, ranked #24. Miller pass blocked 127 times, giving up 7 pressures, and was ranked #14. DT was 91, 9, and #37. His pass protect was a bit below average with a -0.5 grade.

I do have a bit of a concern over how many hits he took last year, 283 carries wit 66 catches is a lot of abuse for a body to take.

I prefer Blount and Miller, and taking him away from the Pats adds some.

I'll take him if it means ridding ourselves of the invisible man we currently have at RB

I always found it funny that people "no thank" other people for simply posting an article or rumor. Isn't that the point of this site? To provide topics to discuss? Sometimes I think people are confused about what an internet forum actually is. lol

The people who think the Knowshon wouldn't immediately improve this RB corps really either 1) don't watch football 2) don't understand the football they watch or 3) just want to be negative for the sake of being negative.

So basically someone is ignorant or a contrarian if they disagree with your point of view? Interesting...

i doubt miami would take blount considering he doesnt offer any real pass catch option...unless the o is seriously going away from what we've had the last 2 years...but who knows with hickey

blount will probably end up back with the pats dirt cheap...my guess at least

I would also take into account that he one of the furthest things from a Philbin guy....
