Knowshon Moreno visits Dolphins/Leaves without deal

Blount is a 1 dimensional player at this time. We already have that in Thomas.

We need a guy with power. I suggest Andre Brown. He'd be a cheaper option than Moreno and a better 3rd down guy.

Ian Rappaport was just on 560 and was explaining why Knowshon would fit in Miami because he is an upgrade over Miller and excels in pass blocking.

Blount being 1 dimensional gives him one more dimension than Thomas.

I don't care who the RB is they sign but he better damn well be able to pass block because that is what this offense is going to require. Moreno fits that role perfectly. If he's cheap I would have no problem with a signing.

Well, i'll give you that, but i'd rather draft a guy instead of switching garbage for shinier garbage.

What the Dolphins need is a running back that doesn't go backwards. If Moreno can convert 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 consistently then he is worth it. He's the type of player that can eliminate a lot of negative plays both in the running game and passing game. A much better signing than Chris Johnson would be.

Moreno is a big upgrade in pass protection, also a better runner than Daniel Thomas. If we sign Moreno and cut Thomas, I don't see how this is a bad thing? Probably has no effect on us drafting a RB.

we need someone who can run downhill, block for his qb and catch passes not a one tricky pony

Moreno was something like the 7th best pass blocking rb in the nfl last season

Moreno's pass blocking ability and Ball's lack there of was the main reason he kept the starting job.

I was talking about Blount.

I have no issue with Moreno, but it depends on the contract. He isn't worth a lot of money imo.

He is wrong, as Miller was better than Moreno in pass blocking, and Moreno was below average.

### PFF ranked Moreno eighth among all running backs as a pass blocker. For perspective, Miller was 33rd, Thomas 34th.
### Moreno had only one fumble in 241 rushing attempts last season. He’s young (26) and coming off his best season, albeit in an offense loaded with talent. He’s a more proven back than Thomas and a Miller/Moreno tandem would be serviceable at the very least and potentially much better than that, depending on blocking and other issues.

Where is everyone coming up with Moreno's VG pass blocking? It's just not true.

Oh ok. I read $3-4 M for Moreno. Daniel Thomas is a FA after this year so even if we don't cut him, you need to replace him. There is no market for running backs so if we can do it for a reasonable price (which is likely), we should pull the trigger and cut Thomas now.

True but, I was replacing DT with him to go with Miller. I see Moreno as more of a Miller type of RB, and still want to see another year of Miller.

one thing that makes perfect sense with him.. he fits Lazor's system well. He is no Shady McCoy, but he was in an offense that clicked when the RB was getting balls out of the back field. I would like it if it is a 1-2 yr show me deal, with 6 mil guaranteed in the contract

PFF, NFL rankings, the fact that he was trusted to protect the most valuable man in the NFL, and did a good job....what is your basis for it "not being true?"
