kobe or wade

But for Kobe to be compareable to Michael he has to carry them to championships.

Nope not true at all.... Jordan never carried the Bulls....he lead them but did not carry them....In fact he had no sucess in the playoff until Pippen showed up...

and how is he going to get the chance to do taht with a roster and talent pool he has now compared to that of jordans? when jordan alone had his 37 pts per game season he was BELOW .500 that year. Kobe was above by 8 games or so with a team FAR worse then his.

I don't get the thinking that a team with a better record is worse than a team that was 8 games below .500. Kobe is great but he's not one of the greatest ever, if Duncan and Kobe never played another game, Duncan's legacy would be superior to Kobe's. The Lakers finished 6th in the Western Conference, the team isn't championship caliber but it's not like they're the Atlanta Hawks which it seems you are trying to portray them to be to support your arguement.

Jordan was the best player on a team that won 6 championships, Kobe was the 2nd best player on a team that won 3 championships. No team can win without role players but Kobe needs to be "the guy," which Jordan was on championship teams if people wanna compare the two.

kobe won his championships at a young age...at the time he wasnt mature enough to carry his team alone he needed shaq

Dont forget jordan had role players to help...give kobe a pg to run the floor there in LA, and if Andrew Bynum develops in to half the center shaq is kobe should be able to get them to the championships in a year or two

So Shaq would be considered the Jordan of the Lakers championship team and Kobe would be considered the Pippen. Every team has role players, so what? Everybody is looking for the next Jordan and for Kobe to be compared to Jordan he needs to win championships without Shaq. The same can be said for LeBron. Everybody wants to know who the next Jordan is and for guys to be compared to him they need rings.

Kobe is still im-mature, and if the Lakers got a Point Gaurd to run the floor, Kobe would run him right out of town.... again.....

ughh...how many did jordan win by himself? 0...he had role players

Right now kobe is where he needs to be, they just need to put some role players around him...lamar odom will be gone next season for sure, maybe they'll get a pg, maybe marcus williams from UCONN

exactly...ROLE PLAYERS. who are the role players for LA? walton? K. Brown? or how about odom? the closest guy to be considered good on LA is odom. Jordan didn't have a guy close to being good he had a top 50 GREATEST EVER and very damn GOOOOD role players. we have below average players with ZERO knowledge of the game. taht is the difference. JORDAN had players that KNEW the game adn understood it and had an IQ for it. LA doesn't. if you watched the suns game, it took parker and brown 4 Screens to realize to NOT switch and let parker go through and brown to stick to his guy. they just have zero basketball IQ. Harper was bball smart, rodman was a master at the game if you take away his BS, pippen was a 50 greatest so says it all adn kerr was just a nice spot up shooter and kukoc was a 6th man for years. the only guy that understands the game behind kobe right now would be Walton if u talk about bball IQ

Jordan lead a team to 6 championships and it would have been 8 if his dad wasn't murdered. Kobe lead a team to the 6th seed in the Western Conference. As good as Kobe is do players wanna play with him? I think the Lakers made the right move in keeping Kobe but players wanna play with Shaq, they wanna play with Duncan. It seems they don't wanna go to the Lakers. I don't see Marcus Williams falling to the Lakers. Maybe Bynum develops into a stud player but still it'll take time. It's ridiculous to even compare guys to Michael he's an American Icon, he was the best player of his era without a doubt and probably the most marketable athelete ever.

So what you're saying is Phil Jackson is a product of Jordan and Shaq? You would think the Zen Master who has won 9 championships would be a better teacher.

you rather have lebron? the guy who is scared to take teh game winning shot? Did you watch game 6? the play where he got to the foul line wiht like 1.6 sec left? he cost em the seriers right there. they were down 3 pts he was open for the 3 and he passed it across the court but he got fouled on the pass and got 2 FT when they were down 3 with 1.6 or so left. Do you think kobe would pass teh game winning shot? or evne wade? or how abotu jordan? bird? I dont think so. He cost em the series right there by b eing scared to take the 3 and passing it off instead as he did about 5 times the entire year. Sorry, i dont want a leader on my team that is afraid of the BIG shot. Dwayne is good but he is NO KOBE.
This has to be the worst post in this thread.

When LeBron reached the free throw line, down by 3, he had 2 guys in front of him. Damon Jones, who hit a game-winner in the previous series from three, was wide open. Yeah, Kobe wouldn't of passed the ball probably because he's a ball hog. Wade would've kicked it out if Posey was wide open too.

LeBron made the perfect decision, just a tad too late. He should've passed it before Detroit had the chance to foul.

are you talking about when he left in 94 or whatevr? 8 if his dad idnd't pass away? UHMMM didn't he go play baseball for 2 yrs and realized he suckeed *** and came back? if he was soo sad about his dad passing away hence the "retirement" why did he play ANOTHER sport? so plz dont give me that bs and no he wouldn't have won 8 b/c the Rocket team was so very strong. Who said they dont wna play with kobe? i only recall SHAQ crying about kobe and thats it. Hold on...didn't horace grant come on behind the glory or whatevre it is and say Jordan was teh WORST teammate ever and he practically hated the man as a teammate? or how about him socking Kerr? what a damn good teammate he was and players really wanted to play for him. you are right my friend.
