Kobe wants to play for Bulls?

Kobe signed a contract. He can demand a trade, doesn't mean it should happen. LA should hold onto him at least for this next year. No need to move him now. Then in the final year if they think he will walk, then move him.

But no need to buckle to Kobe's words now. He is under contract. He signed it. He has no control over the situation.
 
You know, I never thought I could be a fan of Kobe, but when all of this broke, I thought immediately of what it would take to get him...I figured we could probably get him for Marion, Barbosa and whatever picks this year and next it would take....

A Kobe type of player, that can create his own shot from anywhere on the floor is exactly what the Suns need to take the pressure off of Nash...

Then I read the piece saying trading Amare for KG...Seriously, that would be an amazing team, as much as I love STAT and the Matrix, I would make both of those trades and sing and dance all the while...
 
Lets also not forget the notion that D'Antoni was Kobe's boyhood idol, Im sure they would love to have each other, and you know Kobe would love to have a great PG getting him the ball...Also when Kobe was a free agent there was a lot of talk of them getting together then...Im starting to like this idea more and more..
 
The best bet is the trade to Dallas bringing in Josh Howard and JT but i dont think we can accomplish much with Stackhouse.. or the Minnesota bringing in KG and getting that 1st round 7th overall pick.
 
Kobe isnt going anywhere. He just trying to get Dr. Buss to do something with FO. Jim Buss sucks and should never be in the FO.

I love these guys. This guy was involved in a rape case a little while back. Put the franchise through hell. Was showing up to games late because he was in court.

Now HE is upset with the franchise because he doesn't like the way things are being done and how the team is built!!!

These spoiled athletes are amazing. I don't get surprised anymore by this crap. But it's still amazing.

Chris Mullin wasted no time in acquiring an extremely furious Kobe Bryant from the Lakers in exchange for three key components to their playoff run.



This move is unprecedented in its scale and efficiency. Within hours of the request, Kobe got his wish, and the Warriors got their man. Parties have not been available for press contact yet, but a full release is expected by the end of the day. The only news coming from the agents is the consumation of the deal and some final details in paperwork.



Kobe's decision to request a trade stemmed from the recent swirl of chaos in the Laker organization.

Maybe Kobe should give up being the Lakers' Director of Operations for a bit and focus on getting a meeting set up with Mark Cuban to initiate a trade to the Mavs.

If Jerry Buss had any brains in his head, he would trade Kobe now to get maximum value for him. All Kobe wants is at least one other player that is worth a damn to play ball with. Mitch Kupchak and Buss have destroyed the Lakers by going after underachievers like Kwame Brown and drafting under-developed players like Andrew Bynum. Kobe is correct in this situation. If Buss trades him now, he could get at least 3-4 players and a draft pick for Kobe. Possible Suiters: Minnesota (KG & Kobe = championship), or Memphis (Pau Gasol & Kobe = championship). The Knicks? Seriously, who would want to jump onto that sinking ship? Kobe deserves better than the current Lakers team.

First, I highly doubt that Kobe Bryant is going to be traded! He doesnt want to be traded, he just wanted to spill the beans about the Shaq thing. It's LA and he aint going no where. This is kobe at his best and I love it, i guarantee that they're going to get some players now. Jermaine Oneal, Jason Kidd, mave even Vince. So look at this, Bynum Oneal, walton, Kobe, kidd! there you go right there!

not going to blame Kobe because he just speaking with emotion right now, but now that he said he wants to stay as a Laker on the Dan Patrick show he has effectively made this an even bigger mess. He now put the LA front office in a no win situation, and an extremely difficult situation. Clearly Buss and the rest of those clowns dont know how to handle this. What do they do, trade Kobe? not trade Kobe? how do they make peace with Kobe after airing their dirty laundry? i think like it or not Kobe burned one too many bridges and should start packin his bags out of town. Chicago isnt "that" much colder during the winter.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Lakers owner Jerry Buss spoke with Kobe Bryant on Thursday and said he told his frustrated superstar he would "pursue every avenue possible" to improve the team.

The conversation took place a day after Bryant asked to be traded, saying among other things he had been misled by Buss nearly three years ago when he re-signed with the Lakers.

"I talked with Kobe this morning and assured him that I share his frustration and, more importantly, I assured him that we will continue to pursue every avenue possible to improve our team with him as the cornerstone," Buss said in a statement. "I told him that we will keep him apprised of our progress and we agreed that we will talk again in the very near future."
