I've been saying Xanders for the past 2 weeks. I was under the impression the 3 finalists are: Ray Farmer, Brian Gaine, Dennis Hickey.
 
Disappointing, if true, though not unsurprising. The guy we really don't want is Hickey, imo.
 
You sound like complete idiots when all you can do is gauge a candidate by the organization he's worked with. Its painfully apparent a lot of you haven't spent much of your lives employed. Where you work and the skills you possess are not often related. Stop back when you gain life experience. We' ll be here.

A bit harsh, but very accurate. Good people work for bad organizations and vice versa all the time.

Hickey isn't my first or even second choice, but I don't think it would be an awful hire.

Tampa has brought in a lot of talent recently. Dashon Goldson, trading for Revis Vincent Jackson, Carl Nicks. They haven't done too bad in the draft either. Mark Barron, Doug Martin, Lavonte David, and Gerald McCoy come to mind. Hickey is supposed to have worked side by side with Dominik to make those moves, but who knows how much of a role he really played?

The thing that bothers me with Hickey is that Tampa didn't even consider him. :idk:
 
It's harsh because I want to speak up for the fans that look at these boards and get nauseated by all the negative garbage based on ...what? Does ANYONE on here KNOW ANY of these candidates personally. Cmon. All we really know is that Ireland DID NOT do a good job. I'll give you that. Let them get the new guy. He's deserves all the support and TIME to do the job, then as fans were entitled to jump in or sound off. I understand we're anxious and I understand the Dolphins are not exactly the best run organization in the world, but this is our team, one of our problems was a lame GM and disconnects all over the front office structure. Let's get it fixed.

Based on the fact that Ray Farmer, most likely our new GM, doesn't have experience scouting college players. That's all. Pretty important part of the job.

I'm all for Gaine or Farmer, or Farmer AND Gaine.
I don't care what any of you say about Gaine, he's his own man and See nothing but good things about him. He's nothing like Ireland even though he worked under him.
