LaCanfora: Ross headed to London and then China

Later this week when the GM is in place and things are moving forward, no one will care when exactly or how the GM was hired. As long as they make a good hire, like Farmer or Xanders, that is all that matters in the end.

To be honest it really doesn't matter at this point when the Fins hire a GM. This team and scouts are in place until after Draft.

So what you really should be focused on is getting it right. Next year is gonna be an evaluation year for the new GM before any changes are made to team and or coaching and FO staff.

A new GM is not gonna come in and fire coaches and scouts at this point. Aponte is probably gonna handle the resignings anyway at this point with or without a GM based off input from the coaches and your current Pro Personnel department.

Not like your scouts are not going to east west NFL pa and senior bowls.

What will matter is the power structure and how it plays out between Philbin, Aponte and the new GM. I do not think everything is resolved this week. Far from it.

What kills me is that all these reporters are acting like they are getting inside info from the candidates or someone from the front office. I really find that hard to believe, as if you were a candidate, the last thing you would want to do is piss off the team that might be hiring you or complain about the power structure before you even know. Now if it was from a candidate that took themselves out of contention, then maybe. This just stinks of more reporters jumping on the "bash Miami" bandwagon. It's not being done to TB or Cleveland because it's much more fashionable to bash/question everything Miami does right now. Let's just let it all play out and then everyone can pass judgement then.

La Canfora made a statement this morning that made it sound like Ross is currently in London. However, I don't think this is quite true.

Now part of this is speculation, but I believe he is currently here in the United States and his trip to London is actually over. Remember how the Xanders' interview started in New York on Monday and then moved to Miami on Tuesday. Based on his plane's flight path he was in New York/New Jersey on Monday, then flew to London on Tuesday. My speculation is that he was not part of Xanders' interview on Tuesday in Miami. All was quiet then on Wednesday and Thursday when his flight path had him in London but once he returned we heard about the Hickey interview.

Now we all know that just because his plane is going certain places doesn't always mean Ross himself are on these flights, but it is possible La Canfora has some outdated information.

I hope you are right.

Ross should have either promoted Gaine or hired Farmer with Kuharich in a position to help learn the ropes. Both are qualified guys and deserve a shot. Instead, he has had this meandering process in which, once again, the Fins look silly.

Get out. Neither of them is getting the job, it will be Xander. Just be patient.

He is doing due diligence so the people with an agenda will not be able to come back and accuse him of a rush to judgment.

A team with this track record of ineptitude; an owner with this track record of incompetence, is not worthy of the benefit of the doubt until he earns it. Ross is an imbecile until he proves differently. When he bought the team he had a clean slate, he didn't have a reputation either way, but at this point in his ownership he has earned every curse, every imprecation, every slander that has been pointed in his direction. But there is a segment of the hardcore fan base that chooses to defend the man, a segment of the fan base that instead of seeing things through a highly skeptical, if not mocking lens, chooses instead to see media conspiracies. The poor Miami Dolphins being picked on again. The poor Miami Dolphins not being given credit. Why isn't the media giving the team positive coverage, we're 3-0, must be an agenda! Why isn't the media giving us favorable coverage, we're 8-6 and headed to the playoffs, must be an anti-Dolphins agenda! No, the media is just smarter than that segment of the fan base that keeps extending a fig leaf to this organization.

And how many times are people going to question the veracity of media members, when they don't know what the media knows or how they know it, simply on account of the fact that the media casts a skeptical eye at an organization that has been mismanaged since the mid-eighties!
