Lamar Miller getting raw deal??

I wish we had a back like Marshawn Lynch, hardly ever goes down on the first hit, keeps fighting to the end. I know his kind is hard to find. In the old days you had a good many around that would fight to get all the yardage they could, Csonka, John Riggins, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, etc. Man, miss the good old days.

And add Ricky to the list. I used to love seeing him lower the boom on some unsuspecting db or LB, boy could lay the wood.

I know we had a crappy line but he made no plays to make me think he's going to be great. Not one. When someone jumped on him he fell. He didn't run away from anyone either. Nothing special. I think a lot of us might be giving him too much credit just because he is from The U. I hate to say it.

Let's be honest he ran behind an awful O'line and IMO, Sherman would give up on the run far too early.

With a decent pick up at LT, 1st round draft pick and a more varied, patient offense, I think Miller could be our featured RB.

He's no Marshawn Lynch but he's a very capable every down back IMO, no one could have run behind this line. There was never holes to run through, so just like Thill you can't judge him until we have an NFL line

Miller is a poor mans Felix Jones. Miller runs with no power and from what I saw his speed is overrated.

How bout the Cincy game where he actually broke a decent long run but his vision was SO BAD that he wasnt able to even get it in the endzone?! That was pathetic. The defender never gave up on the run but LM clearly had a TD if he just took wide left but.... So what good is the "speed" if you have no vision and DE can run you down in open field?!?!!?

BRING IN COMPETITION.

Miller (and even Thigpen) needs to learn its ok to run away from the guys in the different color uni's... Once they learn that, then we can talk further..

Maybe Lamar will do better in this new offense but I would love to have a physical back. Someone that can break tackles, push the pile and convert 3 and 1 would be amazing. Bring in another back for competition. ..why not?

Speaking of which, how do you think Buffalo feels about seeing Marshawn playing with Seattle in the Super Bowl?

I'm a HUGE Canes fan and going crazy when we drafted him but I feel like he really under achieved this year. Never seen him get caught from behind so much til this year. He still can't pick up the blitz no matter what Philbin says.

Why is everything the coordinators or coaches fault. What about the execution of the player. Lamar "Shoe string" Miller couldn't break a tackle if it came out of a bird (egg). Good players make a way and make others look better around them. He has no vision and needs competition in training camp to ensure we are fielding the best rb.

Exactly! Lamar had his chance last year, he blew it. Cant recall too many highlights. Very average, mediocre. Remember Bush the year before, yes he dances, but Dude made Plays and was a Leader, is that why we let him go? Bush on this team last year, we would have won 2 more games and be in the playoffs. Lamar Miller is cant hold Reggie's jock yet, maybe this season?

He is a decent change of pace guy, that's all.

No, he sucks. On a good team, he is a third string running back, at best.
