Well.....yeah, the NFL does its own investigation (and can discipline a player on a conduct matter even if no criminal charges) but Landry's case was already investigated by police in April and no charges came out of it....but now it is apparently being looked at by the Florida state attorney's office - IMO because it's a high profile thing and these type of bureaucrats love to involve themselves to get their name out there for 15 mins of fame....remember most of them have political aspirations.......police already investigated and determined no charges were warranted PLUS she claimed any and all of it was false....but these State's attorney clowns have to keep it alive to justify their existence and capitalize if they can on the media coverage:

"The case was referred to prosecutors by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department last Friday...... The State Attorney's office currently is reviewing the case to make a determination on whether it will file charges against Landry"
