The OL in Philly last season was not very good in pass blocking. They actually ranked and graded out worse than the Dolphins.

However, when it came to run blocking, they were off the charts in their ZBS. They were #1 with a grade of 100.2. The second ranked team in Dallas had a grade of 30.6. We were #29 with a negative 67.

IF we can balance the books a bit to have some of that kinda run blocking, RT is gonna have one hell of a year in 2014 with Lazor.

Something tells me the Ryan Tannehill hate machine just blew a cylinder.

If PFF thinks the Dolphins have a better pass blocking line than the Eagles,

That right there is why PFF grades are pointless.

IF Lazor figures out a way for our OL to be 10% as good as what he has in Philly, we will take a HUGE jump in the run game. Don't know if everyone understands how much a difference this would make.

IF a D has to worry about the run, it opens up play action where RT lit it up last year without one. It seriously cuts down the pass rush, as the D cannot pin it's ears back. It brings 8 men to the box which opens up passing lanes, etc, etc.

In watching Philly's OL run block, I believe Miller and DT would have gone for 1800 yards. It was THAT good

What kind of impact or roll did he have on the OL in philly?

JD, I know that you are a very knowledgeable poster who I respect a great deal. However, your shots at PFF hold no weight UNLESS you give something more than not liking them. That sounds like mindless posters

You're taking shots for no reason, and I KNOW you are MUCH better than that.

How many Philly games did you watch and focus on the OL to say that? I'm guessing few if any. JMO.

In the playoff game against New Orleans, there were at least three times when Nick Foles had an eternity to throw the football. I think one of those plays took over 7 seconds from the snap until the ball reached the receiver. 7 seconds on one play! Tannehill never had a pocket this season and Foles has 7 seconds to throw the damn ball. That's all I need to know.

Not sure how they did as a unit. But roster wise Philly OL is good.

I would agree......but who knows what the criteria is they are using.

PFF's criteria is simple. They watch every player, on every play, for every game. and grade each play. It's the ultimate eyeball test.

I'm tempted to buy someone a subscription of the pay per view, used as a reference by every link posted here, and many who are not.

It wasn't "Lazor's OL in Philly" any more than it's "Taylor's OL in Miami". Lazor was the QB coach in Philly, not OC or OL.

However, you could take heart in how well Nick Foles performed with that marginal O-Line.

That's it? The other 700+plays from Foles don't matter? C'MON MAN. :)

They gave up 46 sacks but about 8-10 of those were on Lane Johnson who struggled early in the season. 11 of those sacks came against Kansas City and Arizona...couple of pretty good 3-4 defenses.
