Lebatard talks about his meeting with Philbin...

What date was this on Lebatard's radio show? I'd like to download the podcast.

Can't stand the whole bunch. But I am sure Ireland wasn't to high on Philbin either, when his team came out flat as a board in the final two games, and scored 7 points with the playoffs on the line. Against two chit teams, and one at home.

No wonder the players respect Philbin so much. Practically willing to go to war for him. Philbin is a winner!

I thought the players had no confidence in Philbin or any of his staff? WTF??

I don't know why he would anchor himself to a flagging franchise with those 2 bozos at the top if he honestly felt that way.

SKAPE: did you ever "think" that just maybe philbins comments on ireland and ross came AFTER he had already joined the team and not BEFORE he took the job?

there is a clue for you in that post. lebatard said,
"he had one conversation with joe SINCE he was hired"
. not BEFORE but after.

which makes MORE SENSE as it would be hard to come to those conclusions if joe hadnt worked with them yet. case in point: ireland decided homey the clown [chad johson] should be a miami dolphin, even after htc's game had dwindled over the past 4 years AND he had been run off from his last 2 teams. philbin didnt want him [i didnt either]. he had to rebuild the character of this team off the bat and having malcontents and screw ups wife beaters had no place in that plan. philbin relented, but some if the deal was homey was to have a VERY short leash with NO second chances. ireland signed off.

the rest is history. that was the match that started the flame and it went from there. and we all know ireland was not qualified for this job from DAY ONE! he had no experience other than being bill parcells go fetch. kinda like caserio in new england, jack of some trades, master of non. and ireland had character issues as well as professional issues before coming to miami.

so, here we have a guy in jow philbin who has a lifetime of experiance in the nfl and had been successful in every one of them. and on the other side, we have a guy who couldnt spell football if you spotted him the foot and the ball.

and i would think most, at this point would like ross to sell the team. so, why all the philbin negativity? why doubt what happened? and this is all stuff thats been printed in the media at one time or another. imagine all the things joe saw and heard BEHIND the scenes?

Lebatard said on his radio show last week that he has only had one conversation with Philbin since he was hired and that during that conversation it became obvious that Philbin had no respect for Ireland and hated him from day one and that Philbin was "skeptical" of Ross as an owner.

why would he take the job then?

because anyone who talked to arron rodgers would have known philbin didnt develop him as a qb and that he didnt call plays...he was only going to get 1 shot and it might as well be someplace warm...

To the contrary, Aaron Rodgers is on record as attributing much of his personal and professional growth to Philbin specifically. And while McCarthy called the plays, just whose designed plays and players who practiced them were they?

Philbin has admitted that he had nothing to do with Aaron Rodgers' development in Green Bay.

It looks like it is the January 27 podcast, hour number 1, for anyone interested in downloading the podcast.

I could tell you what I think about my whole agency in less than ten minutes

It would not take me that long to tell you about where I work & trust me you'd have to have lived in a cave since 1853 not to know the company.

Because he was offered a job to be a Head Coach of an NFL team.

I'd do it too.

What's the worst? He's a failure. He goes back to position coaching.
Look at Sparano. He's still employed, just like I said he'd be.

Exactly, Its an ego stroke to be an NFL HC.

If Wanny & the meatball are still coaching then Joe will too.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers:

“Joe’s very important to our success. The day-to-day stuff – all the coaching responsibilities he has, installing plays and explaining plays, his role in those meetings, the way that he helps get practice run the right way – he does a ton for us.”

“As players we probably don’t even see half the stuff he does to get us ready during the week. So we’re going to miss him, we really are.”

Joe has been a large part of my success as a player and growth as a person. I really enjoy our conversations together; (we) make sure we spend some time every Friday catching up, talking about things.”

“Joe has an incredible command of a room, he really cares about relationships and people. He’s a great teacher, a great leader.”

That tells me he didn't have confidence in himself to get another job.

I call bullsh!t. Philbin is no dummy. You'll tell a member of the media, in your very first conversation, all of this sensitive information, throwing your GM and Onwer under the bus? RIGHT!
