Lebatard talks about his meeting with Philbin...

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers:

“Joe’s very important to our success. The day-to-day stuff – all the coaching responsibilities he has, installing plays and explaining plays, his role in those meetings, the way that he helps get practice run the right way – he does a ton for us.”

“As players we probably don’t even see half the stuff he does to get us ready during the week. So we’re going to miss him, we really are.”

“Joe has been a large part of my success as a player and growth as a person. I really enjoy our conversations together; (we) make sure we spend some time every Friday catching up, talking about things.”

“Joe has an incredible command of a room, he really cares about relationships and people. He’s a great teacher, a great leader.”

having a conversation every once in a while is not coaching him...remember aaron sat for 4 years behind one of the best QBs ever and worked with a QUARTERBACKS coach to improve his mechanics...

all that quote was Rodgers saying philbin was a good guy...he was being classy...do you expect him to say, oh yeah we're glad hes gone?

as you're driving the agenda buggy (with the pedal to the metal) , no one's gonna convince you that Rodgers specifically saying "“Joe has been a large part of my success as a player" isn't lying :idk: So we're done here, carry on. It's like some jest fans actually thinking Itzdick, who actually could have had Bevell or Dan Quinn wasn't actually told by the owner "forget it, we're gonna extend a HC with one legit winning season since he's been here."

why would he take the job then?

Why do people take the head coaching job of the Redskins every 2-3 years it comes open? Because IT'S A HEAD COACHING JOB IN THE NFL. There aren't that many and they're tough to get, so when opportunity knocks you take it, or it may not knock again. Even if it's not an ideal situation, you go in and try to win, do well, if things don't work out in the end, you may get a better gig later(Bellicheck, Norv Turner, Marty Schottenheimer)
Why would anyone EVER ask "why take an NFL head coaching job" when it's offered? I guess I 'm assuming the answer to this is self-evident.

It's not that much to glean.

I could tell you what I think about my whole agency in less than ten minutes, unless you
got me drunk, then, I'd spend 10 hours restateing the same 10 minutes.

You've been to a cookout at his house then?

Even Stevie Wonder can see how fricken dry he is. He has zero personality.

Well Philbin seems to have a real quirky personality. He's as dry as dust as a person.
