That's definitely true of the Marlins, but I wouldn't go that far with the Panthers. The team still draws decent attendance and somehow hasn't been moved or contracted despite the fact that they've consistently been about the worst team in the NHL for like twenty damn years.
But at the same time, let's not pretend that people still have the same amount of care for the Dolphins that they once did. This franchise has become a damn joke, and it's going to take a long time -- and a lot of improvements -- to recover.
I live in Broward and I'll explain the Panthers. I can easily score Panthers tickets whenever I want for nothing . . . its an attractive situation to have the world's largest outlet mall right next door and a family can easily plan a night around the Sawgrass area / Panthers Arena. Nobody, I mean nobody talks about the Panthers on talk radio/news . . . but they do provide a good experience. The location is a strong reason why I felt the Dolphins should try harder to look at a location in Broward, specifically that Sawgrass area.
Same care for the Dolphins, maybe not, but that easily changes with a team that can perform better than 1 playoff appearance in the past 13 years.
