Rex Ryan made some timeout mistakes his rookie season....Tony Sparano still hasn't learned when to call a time out and when not to. He keeps making the same mistakes he did 4 years ago.
i agree. i personally was against getting rid of cam. i thought we should of kept him as what he is good at. an offensive coordinator. any coach would have worked with him with his resume. if we can bring in the right people doing the right job then we can prosper. look at what speilman did in mn. he only drafted the best RB in the league. we are always hit and miss for some reason and i cant figure it out. what is it about this organization that we cant get it right? im so tired of this same old ****!
Who can truly predict how well a coach will do?
Who here predicted that Jim Swartz would have the lions undefeated at 5-0?
League rules prevent you from demoting a coach from HC to Coordinator on the same team. So Cam had to leave before he could have come back as an OC.
Cameron was a bizarre head coach. Some of his press conferences were just unexplainable. The results on the field were in part due to his decision making. The guy is an offensive genius, but a lousy communicator, motivator, and team spokesman as head coach.

I don't disagree that he made mistakes, but we were a lousy team riddled with injuries from the first game watching Bell go down in the secondary. One by one we dropped like flies as the weeks went on. Getting rid of Cameron was more about 1-15 than it was about his potential as a HC. I just don't think its fair to put the blame of 1-15 on him. We weren't a good team in 2007 and the only bright spot was Ronnie Brown and that offensive line . . . which Cam Cameron was directly responsible for.
And speaking of Cam Cameron . . . why did we get rid of Samson Satele again? I could never figure out how Miami ran so well in 2008, and we dump our center for a 6th round pick and have went down hill ever since. Another dumb move by Sparano. You don't trade solid players for ****ty draft picks and Samson was more than solid and made peanuts. Sure he wasn't better than a healthy Smiley at LG, but Samson would be much better than Incognito at LG.
I would bet that if the Buffalo, or Detroit staff had 1 year in Miami, they would turn this team into winners. I truly believe that.
All of the NFL teams have enough talent to go 8-8. The elite teams have the difference makers..play makers.
The bottom line here is our coaches suck, and Ireland is not as good as advertised.
I really don't agree with this. I can use my own eyes and tell you that the talent distribution in the NFL isn't roughly equal. Teams like the Raiders, Bills, and Lions while have been downright terrible in recent years. Through free agency and some good drafting these teams have almost completely flipped this around. Now, coaching has helped by bringing in the talent and developing the talent, but look at some of the guys these teams have now that they didn't have 5 years ago. To say that any of the coaching staffs of any of those teams could make this team into a winning team, while not impossible, doesn't seem likely. While I agree playing for a new coach would inspire some to do better or maybe teach some of our guys better techniques, we still would need some better guys out on the field to really make a difference. To go 0'fer is on the coaches and Ireland.
