Every rumor coming out that Ross is sticking with Sherman/Philbin hurts. Last year people weren't sure if Chip Kelly / Gus Malzahn style offense would work in the NFL. Kelly takes over a 4-12 Eagles squad and by the 2nd half of his first year they are 7-1 averaging 33.25 pts/game. Why would we not bring in that same offense to Miami? I'm sure if you asked Kelly for his opinion of the best available coach he wouldn't hesitate for a minute in recommending Malzahn. Instead Ross is asking the opinion of guys that were involved with mediocre teams utilizing outdated philosophies that keep insisting we are "close". Of course they think we're close, idiots never know how much they still have left to learn.

because obviously no one is as smart as finheaven users

Yup, the Fins have consistently shown every year how much smarter they are than Finheaven users. No need to question this team's decision making ....

Looking into seeing the availability of malzahn would be the smart move. So of course there is no chance of it happening. I've wanted him for a while.

Some people will never question it.

no no, its so obvious that you guys are the smartest. If only someone, ANYONE would just listen.

I think he will be successful at whatever level he coaches at. If he wants to jump to the pros and we're not interested because of Joe Philbin, I think that's a mistake. Hiring a guy like Malzahn is a gamble you have to make.

Gus Malzahn is an amazing football coach.

I'd really like to have him as HC. I really like his game.

I'm an Auburn fan. The reason we won in 2010 was because Gus Malzahns offense. Everyone said it was all Cam Newton and now in 2013, granted we had a few breaks, but hes doing with with Nick Marshall who is far less talented then Newton.

I am selfish and want him to stay at AU, but not if he went to Miami. I think he would be successful here and rhett lashlee, AU's offensive coordinator, will be a very good up incoming head coach.

People confuse Kelly and Malzahn's offenses. Kelly used a system like Gus when his talent dictated. When it didn't he threw the ball like mad. I haven't seen Gus with the same sort of fluid change or flexibility. Not for nothing, Gus is great, but Kelly is a mad scientist on offense.

Disagree. Between Tulsa and auburn, I think Gus has shown to be very adaptive.
