Martin's legal maneuvers are slash and burn...scorched earth policy.

For the record, I still want to see more information come out. I am not convinced of Jonathan Martin's motives in this still. However, there is such a **** storm that I do not think in the end the Joe Philbin, the coaching staff and Jeff Ireland survive. There is too much heat.
Jonathan Martin is certainly destroying more people off of the field then he did on it.

I agree - they are covering their arses. I agree with something you said in another thread - that Martin is trying to "fix" the locker room culture of the NFL by making an example here. Here is what I think for whatever it's worth (not much, I know!):I blame Joe is some regard to what has happened, but my opinion is changing...NO PLAYER is coming to Martin's defense or state that they saw anything. Also, no player is killing Incognito...white, black, young or veteran. Why?
My criticism of Joe now might be the immediate suspension of Incognito and what it does to the team getting rid of a popular guy. Joe listened to the media swell and lawyers I am sure. It is job at stake.
Player support for Cog shows that this was hazing which most vets participate in.
Martin should have handled the matter himself by punching Cog in the nose rather than running home to his Mommy with his tail tucked between his legs.
If you blame Ireland for anything it would be drafting the waste of life that is Jon Martin...
Ireland created this mess. He is the most culpable. Philbin is a nice man, but this team needs a stronger leader. A complete cleansing of the staff is needed. Nothing cleanses like Fireland.
Bring on Billick, Cowher, anyone with some league wide respect. Let the coach pick the GM. That is how the team should be ran.
