Mando: Steve Ross not Worried About O-line

They damn sure are not offering us what we gave to get him. They wouldn't give up a pick to mve up last year. Im sure they have interest but not as much to give up more than their late first
We have no idea what they are offering, but the fact that they are still talking about him a year later shows their level of interest.

Our offensive line is better today than it was last year... soooooo I am not worried either. Some of you want an all pro in every position, fact is we just need one more solid tackle at the right side and our offensive line is not a problem. Our red zone weapons is a bigger concern to me than our offensive line. We don't have a single red zone threat.

While I do think he should just keep his mouth shut I don't really think this is that big of a deal. The only thing that concerns me is that he said that he is not worried about the o-line. I for one am very worried.

I don't think our o-line right now is better than last years at all.

When Ross took over, he reviewed everyone's status. He OK'd Ireland.

When Ross took over, he let Parcels continue to run the show. It wasn't until after Parcels left that Ross reviewed everyone's status and yes he approved Ireland. But that was not your original question.

Just a question, but since you think your eyes are more open than the rest of ours, where do you think the Fins will find a solution at RT? And don't say the draft because without Ross making his prior statement you obviously didn't know what the team was planning, nor did any GM, scouting dept. or coaching staff in the entire NFL. So please, enlighten us to your master plan.

That's simple...TRADE. We have Jordan, who is supposed to be the up and comer...and Wake who is over the hill and declining. I would trade Wake. You may not like it...but that is what should be done...IF, and this is the big IF...they really believe in Jordan. If not, the guy was a complete waste of a pick and we take Zach Martin at 19.

So you are going to trade the best pass rusher/defensive player on the team for a RT? Which is a position that can be filled in the middle rounds of the draft or a free agent signing after the draft or when cuts are made? Holy ****ing ****! Thank God you don't run this franchise. Talk about getting screwed value wise. Are you related to Spielman.

To put this another way, why would you want to make a strength on this team a weakness by trying to fill one hole by creating another? In case you haven't noticed by watching the games this coaching staff want BOTH Wake and Jordan on the field at the same time. They use Jordan in multiple positions while Wake is rushing the QB. Plus they don't even play the same position as Wake plays LDE and Jordan plays RDE. You are just playing the shell game and not accomplishing anything if you trade Wake.

If you are the Fins GM why not just draft a player or sign one at a later date and try to make both positions a strength on the team?

OK thanks. So when Ross bought the team, he didn't have the option to fire anyone. I never knew he was so powerless.

Oh No! Bill O'Brien said publicly that his team will draft a quarterback. Oh No, he gave away draft plans and is a moron and "insert other generic bitching and moaning".

Not that I don't agree with Ross saying "im not worried about O line" is no big deal.
but, you do realize the Texans have the first pick right? Therefore they can tell the world who they want to draft, and get him anyway

we have no idea if they actually made any offer for him, or what their so called interest level is. Im pretty damn sure they are not offering their first two picks plus something else for him and that's without thinking too much
