Mando: Steve Ross not Worried About O-line

So you are going to trade the best pass rusher/defensive player on the team for a RT? Which is a position that can be filled in the middle rounds of the draft or a free agent signing after the draft or when cuts are made? Holy ****ing ****! Thank God you don't run this franchise. Talk about getting screwed value wise. Are you related to Spielman.

To put this another way, why would you want to make a strength on this team a weakness by trying to fill one hole by creating another? In case you haven't noticed by watching the games this coaching staff want BOTH Wake and Jordan on the field at the same time. They use Jordan in multiple positions while Wake is rushing the QB. Plus they don't even play the same position as Wake plays LDE and Jordan plays RDE. You are just playing the shell game and not accomplishing anything if you trade Wake.

If you are the Fins GM why not just draft a player or sign one at a later date and try to make both positions a strength on the team?

Who said I would get a RT? I would get a LT and picks.

But I can see how would rather just watch Jordan in a rotation while Wake declines. Wake will be worth little in two years, if he is even still with the team. Meanwhile we traded up for the 3rd pick in the draft and he sits on the bench. That's not exactly a brilliant plan either.

we have no idea if they actually made any offer for him, or what their so called interest level is. Im pretty damn sure they are not offering their first two picks plus something else for him and that's without thinking too much
Listen, the comment I originally responded to was about the entire NFL supposedly laughing about our 2013 first round pick.
If you look at the comments at the time and recently by the Eagles coach, it's obvious they were ready to pick Jordan and were surprised by the Dolphins' moves.
Do they still want him and how much would they pay to get him? Only the Eagles FO knows but I guarantee they aren't laughing about last year.

Not that I don't agree with Ross saying "im not worried about O line" is no big deal.
but, you do realize the Texans have the first pick right? Therefore they can tell the world who they want to draft, and get him anyway

Ross never said he wasn't worried about the O-Line. He said "I'd be worried if it was all taken care of by now,"

Why the hell would the Fins trade for a LT? They just signed Brandon Albert.

Also, what picks are you going to get that give as much production as Wake, a top 5 pass rusher in the NFL? There is not one person in this draft or on the Fins roster who can do what he does. So once again you are playing the shell game.

Jordan is going to be much more than a rotational player this year and in the future. Like I said if you watched the games you would see what the coaching staff has in plan for Jordan as they used him in a variety of positions, ie. DT, LB, and DE. Also please tell me who the hell else in the NFL is able to cover TE's like he showed he could last year?

Have some patience for Christ sake and let the process play out. This isn't a damn video game.

he asked you how you would solve the RT position and you said to trade Wake.

OK thanks. So when Ross bought the team, he didn't have the option to fire anyone. I never knew he was so powerless.

:hsmash:

Of course Ross had the option to fire anyone and everyone but after the 2008 season why would he.

Not worried! Not Worried! Cmon Ross! Every fan and your QB is worried... lol Tell your Rookie GM to go sign another OT/G in FA'S...Duh!

Ross has been getting ripped for saying this all day on local radio.

How exactly is Ross "completely wrong" here?

He's a Miami Dolphin, bro. They are all wrong until they make the playoffs and can compete, every single one of them down to the employees that cut the grass.

IMO, everyone has the ammunition to be on either side and be right. One can bash them, and who could blame them? One could defend them, and who could blame them?

Just saw American Hustle- a must see. "Life is not black and white. Extremely gray."

People like Ross say stuff and they don't even realize how stupid they are. The guy will never stop opening his mouth and inserting his smelly foot in it

Ross probably said he wasn't worried about the o-line last year either until Tannehill was sacked a thousand times.

Please God, let me see 1 million dollars in my bank account by saying stuff not realizing how stupid i am, opening my mouth and inserting my smelly foot in it.

The following makes much more sense:

(Ross at the podium) Worried? Were you all not paying attention last year? Our OL is a clusterf@ck. Im not worried. Im in a state of panic. PANIC! (:head burried in both hands:) Ohhh why the f@ck did i purchase this teeeeam? Huizenga, you conniving cu&t. F@ck you in your goat a$$, whereever you are.

(Off from the side) Okay. Final question.
