Martin doesn't want to return to Dolphins

Martin should not be rewarded for his antics. to force his trade or release while still getting paid has been his goal this whole time. put him on the market for a 3rd or 4th rounder. if no one bites, make him come to camp. he won't show his face in this locker room, so fine him every day he is not here. force his hand.

as much as i want this to be over Martin should be punished as much as possible for his actions.

Hi folks. I used to be on a smaller Dolphins message board, it withered away and quit. But now that I'm where there isn't a single Dolphins fan, I took to the internets once again.

I suppose I'm in a distant minority by saying I don't have a huge amount of hate towards Martin. I don't begrudge him for much of what happened. This stuff could have been prevented and Martin was not without fault, but IMO Incognito was the biggest problem here.

That being said, I'm glad Martin doesn't want to be on the team. We all know no one wants Martin to be a Dolphin. Not him, his family/lawyers/agents. Not the Dolphins brass. Not Dolphins players. Not Dolhpins fans, including me. All for different reasons of course. Martin doesn't want to be here because his sensibilities will be bruised. Fine by me. Fans don't want him here because of a mixture of him selling out his team (I care less about this) and him just flat out being a bad football player (I care more about this). Martin sucks, and I want him off the team because we have too many players on this team that suck. I'm no Vince Lombardi, but I know the more sucky football players on your team, the chances of you winning a game decreases.

I've read a ton of posts about Keyshawning him, deactivating him and so on. That's a feel good move, but it doesn't help the franchise. Someone else explained it above. The last thing we need is this cloud over the franchise any longer. Shipping Martin out, so he can fail on another team and wash out of the NFL will help the franchise move on. The last thing the franchise should do is to open themselves up to legal issues, or a spiteful atmosphere so that the players are affected by this. Just ship him out and be done with it.

So thanks Jonathan for not wanting to play for the Dolphins, the feelings are mutual. I hope the Dolphins will do everything they can to give you peace.

First good post and welcome.

Second some of the suggestions on how to handle Martin were somewhat in jest. You should have been here during the ordeal.
Most wanted to string him up for what he did including me.
Aside from that he was a really bad offensive tackle and that alone should lead to him being traded or cut.

Aint that the truth! I thought he had promise after year 1, but the guy fell apart year 2. He was terrible.

Thanks for the welcome!

Now it seems Ross wants to personally meet with JM, hope he's not begging him to stay. We need to rid this team of that bad mojo.

No one here, in their wildest dreams, expected Martin back but, let's start a thread pretending like it's news for some to take some more shots. LOL

I see that Finheaven's official thread policeman has arrived. He must not be getting enough action in his PFF/fantasy football threads, time to start handing out tickets.

Welcome aboard!

I saw this coming. Its time to **** this clown over and refuse to release him, much like Cinci did with Carson Palmer.

Yeah, why should him and his agent get what they want?? Screw them this is a business. Put his ass on IR/Non football related all year and if nobody trades for him then maybe in the next offseason cut him.

Jonathan Martin scheme is working to a T, amazing....

He is under contract.. bring him back unless his agent can find a suitor in a trade.. screw just letting draft picks go to waste.. he either brings us something back or sits out the season so we can recoup some of our investment.

Nice sig Elle

However they work it out he should not be welcomed back to the locker room.

Bury this kid and make him not start or even practice with anyone but the 3rd team. Let him ride the pine in Miami for 2 years. I wonder if we can put him on some kind of PUP list which makes him ineligible to return to the team for a year. Have to walk a find line for workplace discrimination and/or a potential retaliation type accusation but he is a dolphin and under contract we can do with him as we please. Just keep him off the practice squad so someone else can't snatch him up. I vote to BURY this kid and never let him see the light of day on a football field.

He wouldn't want to come back because he is afraid to show his face due to being ashamed by his actions. The man does not DESERVE to play in the NFL any longer.
