Martin doesn't want to return to Dolphins

I don't want Joan Martin on our team; but I think we should force J.M. hand. Tell him that we aren't trading him and if he wants to play football he will be a Miami Dolphin. Doing it this way, he will sit out and we won't have to pay him.

If we can get close to what we have in him say a 2nd/early 3rd i would trade him , but noway i just let him walk and have his way , i would tell the league he is for trade and if not we are keeping him , which he wont show up , because he dosent want to play in Miami , so he will do what Barry Sanders did and RETIRE........

That's fine and dandy, if someone wants to give us a 2nd or 3rd for him, I am all for that. I just don't want them to outright cut him and allow him to go where ever he wants. If they do that for him, who is to say a lot of other players will start trying to do that as well.

he's under contract, bring him back and park him on the bench

I saw this coming. Its time to **** this clown over and refuse to release him, much like Cinci did with Carson Palmer.

Part of me agrees with this, now...

Fine him back pay for the weeks he chose to leave the team, and sue for the prorated portion of his signing bonus. Then start fining him heavily for every day he holds out once camp starts.

Finally, when he does report - cut him immediately.

**** him!

You got the right idea.. use him for STs and otherwise plant him on the bench within earshot of fans sitting behind him. Let's see Ted Wells try to investigate, scapegoat and admonish us!

I wouldn't even want to see his face around the facility. If I was Hickey and his agent told me he didn't want to return, without a word I would just smile and shake his hand. Martin would be on the waiver wire that very day.

work it out so that he signs something promising that he isn't suing and cut his ass let some other team preferably one in the afc east pick him up. Personally I am betting that a lot of these teams that said he is good and just needs a better l.ockeroom won't even give him a spot. All I know is he is a disease that this team does not need right now. The only reason that you would want him on the team is if you are a philbin hater and want a circus around the team again to make a point.

Then you have the lawsuits, I think this is were Martin's people negotiate a clean break with the Fins making up any money he may lose on his new contract...I think the NFL will be push for this because they don't want a big media court battle, on the other hand they don't want to set precedent for players to cry workplace conditions as a way to change teams.....this is going to be interesting going forward......

Stephen Ross said he hasn't spoken to Jonathan Martin and "lawyers are trying to arrange a meeting" relatively soon.

Ross, on Martin: "He wants to talk to me as much I'm prepared to listen. That will have no impact on what we're doing going forward."

Now that....would be epic.

That's vindictive , hateful and humiliating ... I like it

this has been Martin's play the whole time. he is a spoiled rich kid that is upset because the coaches didn't think he could play LT. F*** Martin, keep him on the roster and force his hand.

This is like a "Wolves Thread In Sheep's Clothing." LOL

No one here, in their wildest dreams, expected Martin back but, let's start a thread pretending like it's news for some to take some more shots. LOL

dolphins is not great team the player need be really they need move on or they will have new coach. dolphins only have 4 or 6star. the rest players avg to sorry

Fins GM Hickey expressed desire to bring J. Martin back at combine meeting. Philbin blamed Martin's agents for probs: http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/write...onathan-martin-back-his-agents-rebuffed-offer

Bottom line, Martin's representatives told the Dolphins a return there wouldn't work. Martin wants to play elsewhere. Trade seems unlikely

So releasing Martin might be the only solution here. Forcing him back into that locker room would be beyond odd
so we release him and if he doesnt get picked up he gets a law suit against us for ruining his career?
