Martin doesn't want to return to Dolphins

How many years left on bozo's contract? If he isn't all that pricey, I would buy him on the depth chart and let him wait out until his contract is over. If you can get a trade for him then do it. Letting him walk clean is like a second change for someone that doesn't fully deserve it.

I am hoping for draft day trade, possibly a move up in a round to draft his replacement.

Excellent idea. Something like they did will Bess last year. Swap picks with Martin included in a move up.

I don't want that clown on the team anyway. Wish we could get something for him but it's unlikely...just cut him.

NO WAY DO I JUST CUT HIM , he needs to be made an example out of just like he made an example , if we Just cut him , then if a player dosent like it after he signs with us , he can just take Martins way out , just leave and he will be traded , No way do i do that , like i said before if we cant get a trade and we offer to bring him back and he dosent want to , then let him quit , we gave a 2nd rd pick for him and i sure as hell dont wont to give him his way ,and just cut him , we own his rights ,and if he dosent wont to play here ,then go home to moma ,if we do just let him walk , i hope every player that comes into the NFL pulls Martins trick , if they dont want to play for a team , IMO Martin signed on the dotted line to play in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins ,we own his rights ,if a team offers another player or a 2nd or early 3rd i would listen , but noway i just cut my losses NOWAY , Martin is no better than barry sanders , he wanted a trade but Detroit still had him under contract ,he told Detroit trade me or i will retired , so thats what happen Detroit wouldnt trade him so he retired , we dont need to just relaese him , we own his rights and he will do what we ask or he can retire.....

Oh yea? Show me your posts from 2 months back suggesting a situation where the Dolphins might welcome Martin back?

They have to say that or else they're setting themselves up for a lawsuit. There's no way Miami could sit across from his legal team and tell them they don't want him back. Them saying that is not at all surprising. It's even less surprising Martin doesn't want to come back. I'm not sure what you're trying to take credit for? This all seems pretty obvious

It will be very dangerous for a team to pick him up or trade for him. He may say the coach was bulling him by telling him to block somebody. Anybody!

I don't want Joan Martin on our team; but I think we should force J.M. hand. Tell him that we aren't trading him and if he wants to play football he will be a Miami Dolphin. Doing it this way, he will sit out and we won't have to pay him.

How does that work out though?

If the Fins want to retain him but Martin wants to go elsewhere?

Would that force Martin to retire or sit out until his contract expires?

I understand the PR side of things and media disaster etc, but contractually speaking

Martins contract wont expire not unless he is on the team and playing football for Miami for the next 2 years ,he can sit at home for the next 100 years but until he gives us/ Miami the 2 years he signed with us he will NEVER be out of his contract........

I say trade him to Jacksonville, keep him as far away from mommy and daddy as possible. He will have another tantrum, plus we play the jags next year.

Can we somehow sue him for not honoring his contract if he says he doesn't want to come back? Just askin.

WE can fine him ,if we was to bring him back , and he dosent show up , we can fine him for every practice / game that he dosent show up......

Make him buyout his own contract, he gets freedom, the Phin get cap relief.
