Marvez: Source Says They Think Ireland/Philbin Stay, Sherman Goes

You accept mediocrity in your life. That's fine, I suppose. I just have higher standards.

Nah, not the case at all...

Whether you like to believe it or not there's also a case that Philbin should be kept and that not everything you folks spew out of your mouth is gospel that everyone believes.

I saw Tanne get better this season, our overall record improve by one game despite playing with the worst OLine in football. And for once in forever we were in contention all the way till the last week for the playoffs. I am still optimistic at the future prospects of our HC/QB.

You guys are mad, sound like babies, think you're all GMs who know best. Just fans.. habitually negative fans

Guess thats better than 1-15 or 3-13 seasons

If I have the choice next year between 1-15 and 7-9, I'll take the former. Than I know there's that chance that Ross might clean house. 7-9 and 8-8 next year is the worst possible outcome.

Yep. A total disaster is apparently the only thing that's going to wake up the owner.

I'm not sure how he forgot it. It's a safety blanket for many on here. To some, 2008 is the greatest season in Dolphins history.
its probably the only Dolphin playoff game many fans have witnessed

No, it absolutely is the case. 1 win improvement. Such high standards. "Hey, we didn't have another losing season!" Bust out the champagne! Well, sparkling wine. Mediocre standards, remember?

Tannehill improving and still losing to far inferior opponents, including a blowout loss to a 3rd stringer in Buffalo is an even bigger indictment. These guys can't even win with a good QB. I do like that you point out that the offensive line is one of the worst in the league. Shocking, considering it's been a priority for the past 6 years.

Habitually negative? Habitually realistic. Quit whining about it. You sound like a baby.

This really is starting to feel like a repeat of 2011...

Then: Sparano and Ireland at odds
Now: Philbin and Ireland at odds

Then: Dan Henning forced out largely against HC's wishes
Now: Mike Sherman forced out largely against HC's wishes

Let's just hope that Tannehill doesn't regress to Henne levels...

Haha yep. Now all we need to do is hire an OC from the Browns... oh wait, people are talking about that...

Who here ever said that my standards for this team have been met? They haven't, I just have more patience than to give a HC 2 years and expect him to turn this team into a contender. Much like you arm chair GMs seem to expect HCs to do. I know you're use to the revolving door of HCs this team has seen and would prefer to just swap guys out till we get a coach that takes us to the promise land year one but not all of us share that strategy to becoming a good team. Smart people at least...

True, it's impossible to turn a team around in that amount of time.

You done putting words into my mouth? Who said it was impossible, or that it has never happened?

Chargers got insanely lucky, and the Eagles play in the worst division in football.

Right. Like the Eagles, Seahawks, and Chiefs. Nope. It always takes more than 6 years to turn a team around.

Woah, Philbin has been the HC for 6 years?! Where have I been...
