Considering that we know for a FACT that Ross wanted Manning, there is no way we can tell how badly Philbin actually wanted Flynn.

If Flynn does in fact come to Miami and doesn't get signed, that will be very telling if Philbin let's him get away because of money.

Time will tell, Philbin knows how good Flynn will be.
 
I would fully support Philbin in the signing of Flynn, and if not, I would fully support him in the drafting of Tannehill in round one. I'm going to give the guy every chance.
 
I hope Ireland does his homework on flynn. I mean, I hope he ask the important questions. Questions like, was your mom a prostitute? Does she spit or swallow? Gotta know what we're getting into here.
 
5yrs 40-45mil doesn't sound like an offer you give a guy that you're not too sure about. Just saying..


If that deal gets done, trade back and pick up Floyd. 2 major holes filled and one extra 2nd rd pick.

Pjilbin will have staked his job on Flynn if he comes here. If Flynn bombs out Philbin will be gone.

The difference between this offer and the kind of 5 year, $40 million offer that is being proposed are actually more minor than people realize. Even if a deal is for 5 years it may effectively only be a 2 year deal with an option to keep going (and therefore pay Flynn a lot more money) or to get off the train and save your money.
 
We've been pretty much forced to ride or die with Philbin. He'd know better than anyone and if he believes in Flynn than we'd have to trust in that and get excited about it. Personally, I'd rather stick with Moore and draft Tannehill, but it would be interesting to see where the Philbin/Flynn era goes.
 
Tannehill is so far away from producing positive results on the field. I like his athletic ability, but did you ever see results on the field that actually made you say "wow".

He has tools...no question. However, I still struggling seeing how he belongs in the top ten outside of the need factor.

Yeah i realize that and we should give him a 5 year if that's what it takes.
 
Wake up man! Please no more about Manning, they tried to get him and he ain't coming, has nothing to do with Ireland. Get over it.
 
What team is he's going to is close to a superbowl? peyton only going to play 2 or 3 years at best, I would have love to have him but we need competition at the QB spot.
