McIntosh and the O-line shakeup...

You are 100% correct. I DON'T know how permanent this is. The coaches could change their minds tomorrow. However, if they decide to stick with this rotation and Damion and Vernon continue playing as well as they have, it could definitely benefit the team.
As long as Damion can lose his nickname from last year ( False Startintosh ) he should help us out.

LT-most important
C-second most
RG
LG---gotta be strong up the middle
RT--least important (can always throw a TE next to him and give him help)

Sorry but with that logic they are all the same.

TE'S can help out both LT and RT
FB's can stay in middle to help out C,RG,LG

IMO

LT
C
RT
LG
RG

For a left handed QB that is the exact opposite.

If RT wasn't so important guys like John Tait wouldn't be getting paid a boatload of money. RT AND LT get paid more then G'S if I am not mistaken.

To me it is easier to help a running game out with extra blockers then it is to help out a passing game. Just my opinion.

That was his only real issue was the mental lapses.

But let's be realistic here. He rushed back from a injury to help out the porous line. You can't really expect him to come back at full strength.

The only purpose of this move is to light a flame under the OL, and show them that poor technique and half-hearted play wont be tolerated... And If you remember, the Fins promised Mcintosh that they wouldn't bring in any other competition at the LT position in exchange for a restructuring... Now that Mcdougle is playing terrible, this looks to have backfired eh?

I took no offense to you, so please take no offense to me when I tell you that I couldn't care less what you think about Damion McIntosh or anything else for that matter. Your opinion is of no importance to me or any of my clients (unless you're also the general manager of an NFL team). If you think I hang out here because it "my job" or "in my client's best interests", you're wrong. The reason why I hang out here is because I enjoy it. Also, an agent's commission does NOT transfer when a player switches.

You know this seems pretty rude to me. If you could careless what we think why bother even posting here? You don't have to agree with everyone, but at least show a little more respect towards the other members here.

He's just telling it like it is.

We can't until we see some first team action which I guess we will against Tampa Bay. I'm sure Ozzy etc will be breaking down the game tape to that one pretty carefully.

I'm going to refer to a particular part in the Steelers game. When the second team Oline came in. Albeit going against the Steelers seconds, they gave Feeley more time right away. And who did I notice playing well right off the bat? Macintosh! He was handling the pass rush very well. But the one thing I also noticed was that the Steelers slowed up with their blitz packages.

IMO Carey had two stellar perfomances in his first two starts, but he did not have as good a game against the Steelers. Even after saying that, he has been the best lineman BY FAR up to this point.

I'm going to add my thoughts as to why they now want to switch Carey to the right side. Carey has size and strength and has the potential to develop into a devastating run blocker. Putting him on the right side will boost the running game big time. He has already shown that he is much improved in pass protections, so the move will solidify the right side of the ball. Hadnot may have had a few breakdowns, but I think these two can excel together big time!!!

Macintosh's natural position is LT, so the moves make a lot of sense. Two more games to find out!

Watch out for Alabi now.....

It is not rude as it is honest. If you followed the conversation you would notice that there was nothing rude in what he said.

That is exactly what I think they are doing. Make no mistake, Carey was our absolute best offensive linemen through the end of the Jaguars game. I would say through the Steelers game, but I have not gotten the chance to grade them out in the Steelers game yet. But, I have graded out the Bears and Jags games. Again, Carey the most impressive by a mile. And if you think I'm biased toward Carey you should see some of the posts I wrote about him last season.

You thought Carey played well in the hall of fame game? I thought I saw pass rushers going around him like he was standing still on some plays.

You must have been watching another game. Outside of that Urlacher hit Carey was impressive and even then he regained control and if anyone had picked up Urlacher that play would have succeeded as Carey drew kept his man off him.
