Meet your 2014 miami dolphins

Our RB situation is solid.

We now have 4 RBs who can run between the tackles, and can also gash the defense if given the chance.

This is far better than the past few years when Daniel Thomas was our #2 ball carrier. Whenever he was on the field, the defense basically didn't have to worry about him.

It's also better than having specialist RBs like Marcus Thigpen, who would not be able to be an every down, 20-times-between-the-tackles RB if needed.

That said, our RB production will be limited because our o-line run blocking is very weak.

We have one solid RB, one average-at-best RB, and two rookie UDFA RBs. A strength it is not.

FIRST CUT: player(s) to be released for a new signee

Darkwa Orleans, RB
Don Jones, DB
Jason Fox, OL
Jonathan Freeney, LB
Jason Trunsnik, LB

is this speculation or a list released by the organization? it seems odd that they would immediately go ahead and say who they plan to drop barring a free agent pickup.

Champ Bailey was cut, he would make a good 3rd CB. Lache Seastrunk and Evan Royster were cut, they would be far better than Darkwa. Michael Sam was cut, and he was actually a pretty good DE....we could use some pass rush guys..

Bailey needs to hang it up...he isn't even a 3rd anymore...

Fox and Freeney are my predictions for "first replaced"...

Starting to get rid of the 7- 8 win a season type players. Although Thigpen will be claimed by the
Patroits in 3......2......1.......

Wouldn't our DL be considered a strength? At least more than RB?

I like the team.

Wouldn't mind seeing us pick up a Guard or Swing Tackle from some of the cuts out there, and perhaps a run stopping linebacker.....but overall I like it. The team made a couple of tough decisions to move on from mediocre players.

I would definitely bring in Succop or Henry for kicking duties....Sturgis isn't reliable.
