RAS25 said:and too talented to just cut
dosent mean hes not talented he was ok for the first couple of games maybe he is just frustrated right now i dont know but to say the man isnt talented is wrongDudeman said:no, apparently, he's not. he was demoted to second string, and when he did come in, he caused penalties. Thank god Saban only signed him for one year
Batman13 said:Lee is a very good blocker, I doubt he gets cut.
Awsi Dooger said:McDougle isn't going anywhere. It was interesting when Saban pulled Carey in the 2nd quarter and put McDougle back in at RT, with the rest of the starting OL intact including McIntosh at LT. Carey returned briefly in the 3rd quarter.
McDougle had plenty of decent plays but again he whiffed on one quick outside burst and was forced to hold, very obviously, to protect the QB.
This game should cement that McIntosh is the LT. He is so much more natural there than Carey it's a farce. McIntosh has better feet and sets up well with the proper positioning. Superior athletes may beat him but technique will not. Admittedly I got too sour on McIntosh based on last season, when he probably shouldn't have played at all after the ankle surgery and the shape he was in coming off of it.
adamprez2003 said:Good point. I liked DMAC in San Diego and thought maybe I was mistaken in my take on him. His ankle last season probably was the reason he didnt look that good. Agreed that Lee is the best blocking TE we have and there is a roster spot reserved for the best blocking TE. Question: I havent seen Alex holmes or Lorenzo Diamond block- Whats your take? Also how did Mckinney look tonight? And James if I aint being too much of a pain in the a@#
Call me crazy, but I think you just EXACTLY named our final 53-man lineup. I'm skeptical about whether Turk or Jones will be our punter and whether it's going to be Lee or Diamond who makes it, but other than.... I think you just perfectly named our FINAL TEAM.The Franchise said:The team as I see it:

That's not a depth chart, just the players at each position, I believe will make the team. Mann may knock Thompson off, though I can't see Thompson outright cut.
Awsi Dooger said:Frankly I was focusing on Hadnot tonight. I had kind of neglected to watch him play after play in previous games. Rex looked better than I expected, more light on his feet. There was one influence play he pulled to his left and thru a hole, not really finding anyone to block until he was about 10 yards downfield and actually ahead of the RB. That play really shocked me because I never knew Hadnot was anything but a limited space mauler.
I have not watched much of Alex Holmes so unfair to comment. Diamond is a willing blocker but too much finesse for my taste. He doesn't have Lee's mentality of outright burial, but few TEs do. Diamond also dropped one tonight from Feeley, kind of low but very catchable and it prevented a first down on 3rd and 2. The Finheaven wolves would have been out if that drop had been made by Lee.
Since I focused on Hadnot I saw plenty of McKinney alongside. IMO he's an average/slightly below average center who has good pass rush technique but not quick or strong enough to be effective as a run blocker, and not looking any different tonight than typical. The opponent tonight was lesser than Jacksonville or Pitt especially on the DL, so naturally the entire line looked better. James I didn't look at.
Since I drove north to Pompano Beach to watch the game because our power was still out in Miami, I didn't get to tape the game. I'm hoping it will be replayed this week to accomodate local fans who were without power, but I doubt it.
X-FACTOR said:Your right I completely forgot about Moore. This was supposed to be the game where showed his worth to coach Saban and I can't recall seeing his name on the stats list. Now believe me I realize that stats don't tell the whole story; however, a man in his position better show flashes of above average ability on film or else it could be curtains.
