Here's to trading Sage Rosenfels to the Bears or Raiders for some scrap metal, and signing Rohan Davey.

I would rather keep Sage and trade Gus and AJ!

I'd rather trade them all for draft picks and sign up assistant coach Jason Garrett to play all season long, but we don't all get our wish do we...

Or some genius said we could play Booker at QB..... :shakeno:

No. No, it isn't.

Yes, actually it is. Glass is classified as a liquid. And if you'll notice the stain glass windows of old cathedrals, the tops of the windows are extremely brittle, because through the years the glass has slowly poured downward and settled to the bottom of the pane, making the bottom part of the pane thick and the top part thin and brittle.

You want to know why Davey will be in a Fins uniform. Saban has said that the 3rd QB should be a young developmental guy. Rohan is both of those, plus Saban knows exactly what he can do because there was a time WWWWWAAAAAAYYYYY back when, when I believe Saban was his coach.(Insert Sarcasm Smilie Here) He may not be of much help to us this year, but he could very well be a factor next year. If he comes along and gets to the point that he could be an adequate starter, then our focus in the draft could very well change to one of those stud LT's and go after a QB in the middle rounds replacing both Gus and AJ!

OK, I know close to squat about Davey, but I see he's listed at 6-2" and 245lbs..... sounds like a lil bowling ball.

Is he actually any good, have potential, and can he actually move?

If so, why would the Patsies release him?

Thank you sir

Acutally Crunch, I think he's closer to Leftwich (sp?) than Culpepper. Davey moves at the speed of glass.

How come whenever people try to compare QB's and WR's, the first factor compared is always skin color?

If the price is right I really do think that Saban will pick him up especially considering he coached him at LSU.

That is the only thing that intriques me...obviously Saban knows something about him from his LSU days and he would probably talk to BB about him...I love his arm, and he was a great leader on the field in college...he had a decent NFLE outing, but there must be some issues that he couldn't hang on with BB. It could also be something to do with his salary, but I'm not sure (assuming we'd try to claim him off waivers)...He also, physically is a lot like Culpepper and has some running ability, so Linehan might be interested...but it's kinda late for him to have any impact this year...unless Gus tanks (which I HIGHLY suspect he will) and AJ can't do it either...but if those things happen, it'll really be a long season...

I hope there is little to no interest in Davey from Miami. He is chubby QB who got beat out by a 43 year old Doug Flutie. After being on the Pats squad for a few years to get beat out by Flutie and Cassals makes me wonder why we are clamoring for this guy. If Miami is interested in him I hope it doesn't stem solely from the fact that he played for Saban at LSU but I suspect that is the only reason that we are even talking about him. I know Saban has a comfort level with some of his former guys but I really don't want Miami to become Baton Rouge East if the guy can't really help the team.

Cut sage, put Berlin on the Practice Squad and bring Davey in as third string to light a fire under AJ's a $ $

Honestly, ive seen our QBs play......its hard to say who's gone and who stays. We have Gus, AJ, Sage, Brock, and soon possibly Davey and Couch. Thats 6 QBs we could possibly have, not that we WOULD.....but honestly, ALL of our QBs have potential. I would NOT release Brock Berlin cuz he is young and possibly within the next 3-4 years he can emerge as a starter. Gus may start, but he will retire within 3-4 years. If AJ doesnt prove anything this year, he's gone. Sage is still young, and can develop. Couch is young, and Davey is young. But if there was anyway we could keep ALL 6 of them, even if it means signing Davey and Couch to a one-year minimum....id do it. Cuz like i said, if AJ proves nothing he will be gone, so that leaves us with Gus, Sage, Couch, Davey, Berlin....Gus will retire soon, so that leaves us with Sage, Couch, Davey, Berlin. If we cut Sage and Berlin, then in 3 years we will only have Davey and Berlin. This team NEEDS a QB more than anything, so id honestly say keep/sign all 6 of them, and they can all learn from each other. Therefore by the end of NEXT YEARS' camp, we know who's best. (Probably Couch) ...sorry that may have sounded confusing.

:shakeno:

Huh?
