Yes, actually it is. Glass is classified as a liquid. And if you'll notice the stain glass windows of old cathedrals, the tops of the windows are extremely brittle, because through the years the glass has slowly poured downward and settled to the bottom of the pane, making the bottom part of the pane thick and the top part thin and brittle.

Is glass liquid or solid?

It is sometimes said that glass in very old churches is thicker at the bottom than at the top because glass is a liquid, and so over several centuries it has flowed towards the bottom. This is not true. In Medieval times panes of glass were often made by the Crown glass process. A lump of molten glass was rolled, blown, expanded, flattened and finally spun into a disc before being cut into panes. The sheets were thicker towards the edge of the disc and were usually installed with the heavier side at the bottom. Other techniques of forming glass panes have been used but it is only the relatively recent float glass processes which have produced good quality flat sheets of glass.

Classified by who?

Dictionary.com:

Liquid - The state of matter in which a substance exhibits a characteristic readiness to flow, little or no tendency to disperse, and relatively high incompressibility

Solid - Of definite shape and volume; not liquid or gaseous. Firm or compact in substance.

Also, a thing to remember, this is Linehan's offense, not per say Saban's. I keep seeing he is a Saban guy.

I have heard of merging threads but this one deserves to be split. One part for the Davey posts and one for glass blowing techiques in the lounge.

Rohan Davey

I just saw on ESPN news that Rohan Davey got cut by the Pats. I know we already have 4 Qb's on the roster, but i really think that he could fit in well. He has a rocket of an arm, and has been learning from one of the best qb's in the league (though i still hate brady).

God people really!!!!!!!!!!!! If a qb is even decent he doesnt get cut in teh 1st cuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fire:

no way why is he even mentioned on this bored all the time
Because of his previous ties with LSU. And also because he is a local kid.
I personally dont think he will be an upgrade to what we now have. Saban knows him well so maybe he sees something there...who knows?

Look, Davey was cut for a reason. If Charlie Wiess and BillBell cant get anything out of you you might as well be working for FedEx

Pats Waive Rohan Davey

Quarterback Rohan Davey, a backup for Tom Brady last year, was released by the New England Patriots on Monday along with running back Cedric Cobbs and safety Dexter Reid.

Davey, a fourth-round draft pick out of LSU in 2002, became expendable with the offseason signing of Doug Flutie and the emergence of rookie Matt Cassel during training camp. In three seasons, Davey played in seven games, completing 8-for-19 passes for 88 yards.
