I've been listening to 790 the whole day, and they have been using the basic logical assertion that, if Davey couldn't make top 3 on the Pats, we shouldn't give him a chance. But in Adam Schefter's latest column on Nfl.com, he describes Davey as a "big talent". What gives?
 
he sucks. he couldn't even beat out cassel from usc who was a backup there. this kid isn't worth it. draft 06 is where the qb is to be found.

if he isn't good enough for the champions team, he isn't good enough down here.
 
He has to be better than Berlin, who all the UM fans didn't want starting a college team... Can we grab him and then PS him? or must we give him a spot on the roster?

How about a very large QB...
a very slow QB (whom is usually confused w/ being able to run due to skin color)...
a QB w/ a slow release...
oh yea, they're both young

I also believe Crunch brought up Culpepper due to Linehen having coached him in the recent past.

Feel free keep your assumptions to yourself.
 
Just a qb sidenote, and another attack on Wanny/Speilman: No Feeley trade means we draft Corey Webster in the 2nd AHEAD of the NYG, have a better Secondary, and instead of drafting Daniels in the 4th, maybe Orton who is now starting for Chicago. We then could have avoided a controversy which is feeley/frerotte, possibly have a QB of the future, and next year's #1 could be used on another position... DAMN hindsight is always 20/20!!!!
 
Well, it does seems like that he will be signed by us sometime tomorow. I just have a feeling that he will. That means that Rosenfels will get cut and hopefully Berlin will be put on the PS.
 
Who cares. I've seen him play and for the folks who say, " he can't be any worse than what we already have", yes he can.

Id be surprised if phins dont give him a look. But bottom line is that the team needs a number one qb, and they simply dont have one now. Tanking the season and getting Leinhart wouldnt be the worst thing in the world cause AJ will NEVER take a team to the promised land.
 
WRONG.... TANKING THE SEASON would reflect poorly on Saban, and drive the veterans (who are the core talent on this team) into disgust... all to get a so-called Superman Matt Leinhart, who hasnt proven anything in the NFL, and plays in a semi-weak Pac-10 conference... please keep the stupidity to yourself.

Patience, my friend. Additional cuts over the next week may yield a better possibility. Davey ain't it!

shoulda coulda woulda...too many variables to guess how things would have turned out...heck, it might have meant that Wanny would not have gotten fired ?? Who knows..
