BS. Detrimental attitude doesn't lose you any games unless you have a VERY poor coach.
Is this just your opinion? or do you have fact to back that up?

Saban and TO could easily coexist because Saban is not able to be rattled. He treats his players like men and doesn't disrespect them. He has a mature attitude about how to treat players. And a mature attitude from the boss always allows him to deal with even the most immature players.

All that matters is the production.

You don't think Reid has a mature attitude? The guys oozes professionalism, as does McNabb, the team leader. TO was a cancer in San Francisco. TO was a cancer in Philly. Notice a trend? As for him being underpaid, I believe he is the 3rd highest paid WR in the league. He gets paid plenty.

Even if you paid TO what he wanted, he would complain about something else, say the play of the QB. He'd rip the Miami QB and start locker room problems. Perhaps if he was 23 he could be molded by Saban, not now. Frankly, I don't know who is going to want this guy.

Andy Reid and Mooch are not exactly mature enough as coaches to be able to handle a guy like Terrell Owens. Mooch has never been a very mature coach but at least he's just immature in the goody-goody way. He was a sitting duck for TO to think he could dominate him. Andy Reid can't be dominated, but he can easily be angered into personal insults or slander and that is EXACTLY what caused that week long suspension from TO during camp. TO was being TO, unhappy with how the team has handled his contract and therefore looking for every opportunity to take a jab at his team, and Andy Reid got personal.

Saban can neither be dominated by Owens, nor would he ever be drawn into personal insults or anything like that. If he ever yelled at Terrell, it would be over coaching things like effort, or like he did with Manny Wright he yelled at his @ss to get back in that locker room and put on his pads. TO might get mad at that, but it's not going to cause him to come back at him and start insulting Saban and getting suspended.

Thats how I feel about it.

TO is the living day version of Leon. He is a cancer, and cares about no one but himself. He is loyal to no one! I say heck no!:yell:
TO is playing the game. He knows that another team may redo his deal & he gets another bonus, then after year 1 he will want another deal to get another bonus.

TO is playing the "Get paid game" He wants that 10 million bonus every year.

Andy Reid is not a coach who is as professional as he seems. You think he is, just because the guy doesn't talk to the press...at all. But he actually allowed Terrell Owens into an exchange of personal insults.

Sorry, but that doesn't cut it. I don't believe Saban would allow that to happen. I know my opinion isn't popular.

Just ask yourself, is Minnesota better now that Randy Moss is gone?

2) Saban teaches and preaches "team, team, team". I don't think that word is in TO's vocabulary.

Let me first start off by saying that I can't stand TO, he's an unbearable little *****.

However, playing on ONE leg in the Super Bowl wasn't a team mentality? He had to sign a WAIVER to play in that game. I hate the guy, but you can't knock his team mentality, because whether he's unhappy or not, he shows up and plays hard whenever he suits up.

The man risked further injury for his TEAM. You can rip on him all you want, but saying he's not a team player is flat out untrue.

Ozzie Newsome - What did he have to say about TO?

Owens claimed that Newsome told his agent "he was a black man from Alabama just like T.O." and "that sometimes a black man's gotta be slapped."

http://www.phillyburbs.com/pb-dyn/news/99-10282004-390984.html

And of course, TO went to the media and made the biggest noise he possibly could about it.

Am I confused, or isn't the poster of this thread the same guy who had endless posts about Feeley being the 2nd coming of #13? :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

All you have to do to make him happy, is pay the man. The Eagles took advantage of the fact that he was known as a cancer in order to give him a contract that is BELOW MARKET for his skills. He accepted that for one year..

Terrell Owens' salary for 2004-2010, minus workout bonuses of around 5-10 grand per season:

Signing Bonus- $8.9 million

2004- $9.16 million

2005- $3.25 million

2006- $770,000 plus $5 million roster bonus on opening day

2007- $5.5 million

2008- $6.5 million

2009- $7.5 million

2010- $8.5 million

Looks like fair market value to me. Especially for a WR of his age.

Terrel signed basically a 2 or 3 year deal with the Eagles.

Last year all he could see was the signing bonus & now he sees himself as a 33 year old WR with no more big pay days coming.

Again, he did not have to sign the deal. No one put a gun to his head & said sign this.

Cause he's better than EVERY WR Miami has put together? That is such a trade that favors Miami it should be a no brainer to the fans!

Yes...talent wise it is a no brainer...which should give you even more pause with most fans reaction when they dont want a player like him. He must be a real jerkoff to illicit a reaction like that.

I cant imagine Saban getting a player like TO, because with Saban, its all about team.

I'm sorry but TO signed the deal so he should be a man and honor that deal. Oh wait a minute TO, honor, and man in the same sentence sorry my mistake.

Just want to say there was something in it for him also. He got to play in a SB & if Philly wins then he gets to say he played on a winning SB team.

A team player is more than someone who shows up on game day.

Exactly. His attitude doesn't hurt you, unless you let it hurt you. He's going to try and hurt you with his attitude too, if he's not happy with his contract. But as a player, he NEVER pulls up lame on a play unnecessarily, he always gives 100% effort on every play, he plays injured to the point where you have to wonder how in the heck he does it...he's everything you want.

In essence, you're looking at a similar phenomenon to Ricky Williams. Williams gives you everything you want on the field, and in preparation. But, it's the extracurricular that hurts. He hurt this team because he was allowed to, because we counted on him. TO hurts his team because they allow him to. If you approach TO with a mature attitude, realize that you should pay him for his level of play, and isolate the whole comments thing as just "clutter" then you can easily coexist with him...and probably win championships.
