I'm sorry but TO signed the deal so he should be a man and honor that deal. Oh wait a minute TO, honor, and man in the same sentence sorry my mistake.
If this was year 4 or 5 of his deal, then I have less of a problem with him wanting a new deal. However, year 2 is not the year to start whining about your deal.

BS. Detrimental attitude doesn't lose you any games unless you have a VERY poor coach.
I don't know man, if the guy with the bad attitude is your 5 million dollar a year reciever, i think it could effect the whole team.

Happy to report you have me confused for someone who is even more confused.

In essence, you're looking at a similar phenomenon to Ricky Williams. Williams gives you everything you want on the field, and in preparation. But, it's the extracurricular that hurts.

That's an EXCELLENT comparison. Anyone who is questioning their commitment when they step on the field isn't watching the same game that we are.

I really don't like the guy, all I can think of is his incident in San Francisco when he was ******** out the Offensive Coordinator on the sideline. I don't think I would want him on my team, but these people who are making him out to be the devil better look at our own roster in the direction of Ricky Williams. Granted it's a different type of problem (whining to quiting), but very similar circumstances.

Good post.

Just want to say there was something in it for him also. He got to play in a SB & if Philly wins then he gets to say he played on a winning SB team.

A team player is more than someone who shows up on game day.

Example?

Ricky quit, that is true. He never called out the QB on the sideline, or argued on national TV.

Cause he's better than EVERY WR Miami has put together? That is such a trade that favors Miami it should be a no brainer to the fans!

So? Miami needs a TEAM player, not a selfish sorry excuse for a human being as a WR. Besides, Miami has bigger needs than a receiver.

So abandoning your team is more excusable than not getting along with your quarterback?

Not sure I agree with that.

CK, it's the kool aid huh? why do you always seem to think we can rehabilitate these headcases, cmon man, he's not worth it.

BTW, weren't you for Cecil too?:goof:

I do not believe that TO is the kind of image Nick Saban has in mind for the Dolphins

He is Elite

Owens age and baggage is worth it..

He's Elite........ Ronnie will be so good and confortable next year that Ricky is expendible.....

Id pull that trigger in a heartbeat

TO is elite, Only when you have a good QB throwing to him, we dont have that as of yet:shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno:

You cannot insult your teammates/coaches Monday through Sat. & play hard & well on Sunday & call yourself a team player. Whether you do it hurt or healthy.

A team player does what is in the best interest of the team & keeping locker room harmony is one of them.

TO dissed McNabb for no reason other than McNabb did not play very well in the SB. No way a good teammate does something like that.

TO is a finger pointer & finger pointers are not good teammates.

Good post.

I distinctly remember a 49er game where Garcia threw a TD pass, it was for less than 15 yards to another WR and TO went to the sideline screaming & yelling.

I think there is a huge difference. Ricky, for all his peculiarites is a very sharp, intelligent, polite, well spoken guy. He got in trouble for drugs which a lot of other players have as well. TO is a prick and a backstabber. Donovan used to have him over his house all the time last year. He lobbied big time for the Eagles to bring him in, and look what TO did to him.

RW quit because RW had personal issues he needed to deal with off the field & something he could not do while playing football. TO does not have personal off the field issues to deal with.

I'd take RW over TO every time.

RW also stood in front of the team & explained himself & apologized for his actions.

He's not a team player because he doesn't get along with ONE player on the team? I can't agree with that.

It's obviously personal between McNabb and Owens, and I'm not going to try and pretend I know what went on behind closed doors. Did Owens really throw McNabb under the bus for only a poor performance? Or was there more to the situation?
