Merged: Bench Frerotte / Start Sage

Im tired of these threads.

Are you guys watching the game? Frerotte has done nothing wrong. Chambers dropped 2 balls, and McMichael dropped one in the endzone. With those catches, that would put frerotte at 9/11.

You guys are ridiculous with this sage talk

Actually I agree Slim Gus has not really done anything wrong, but he is not making the plays he should. At some point you have to ask your QB to make plays and take over an offense to some extent. I do not think Gus is capable of that at this point. I think his offensive team mates have lost all confidence in him. You can see their frustrations and who they are directing their frustrations at. When things like that start to happen I believe it is time to shake things up because if you lose the team you have no chance whatsoever.

Not a Memeber of Mensa, huh?

Slim, you're not very smart.

What do you call a QB with no hurries, no sacks, no contact that still throws for less than 40% and has interceptions?

Right, according to you, you call him the answer.

Start Sage, this season is over. We're 3-6, where the hell do you think we're gonna go from here?

Start Sage to see if he can be your starter next year while you groom whatever rookie QB you draft, because it won't be Frerrotte, he won't be here. Whatever "it" is he just doesn't have it. Unlike Zach, Jason, Ricky, Ronnie... this team has talent and played it's heart out against a team that simply wouldn't drop a pass on offense. They deserve a leader that has at least half as much talent as they have.

Frerrotte's gotta go. Bring in Sage.

Look on the bright side we have 5 of the last 8 against the Browns, Titans, Raiders, Bills, and Jets and 3 of those at home. The fins can win all 5 of those and finish at 8-8. I personally think they'll finish 7-9, because the Titans and Browns are worse than the Fins and are two pretty much guaranteed victories and surely the fins could steal at least 2 other wins. I'm not worried about high draft picks because this team needs a good FA QB to lead this team, not a 3 year prospect who may fall apart. Just look on the bright side this team is a good 3 to 4 wins better than last year.

I would like to get Carr for next season. I don't think we should give all that SD will be asking for Rivers or Brees. We are going to need our 1st round pick. Really, I don't care who we get as long as they resemble a QB!

i want lienart, and ill do anything for him. I want to play extremely competitive this season still but Im sick of bad qb play.

I was watching Carr against a good Jags defense. He is an exceptional QB. Routine throws should be just that, routine. With Frerotte even routine throws are an adventure. The Phins ran the ball with authority, there were no sacks or hurries on Frerotte and he still managed to throw for under 100 yds. Incredible!

The biggest insult I can give Frerotte is that I absolutely yearn for the days of Jay Fiedler. This is beyond friggin horrible.

right now i would love to have Jay fielder back, more than not he made smart plays and could use his feet to scramble for first downs. I think he would have liked this new system. wasnt he like 40-17 starting for us? give him what we have now and we would be alot more competitive than we are now

Get Something Straight--We Have NO Starting QBs

Guys, Gus sucks. Not anything new. But the bottom line is, no matter who we put in, they're gonna suck! We've got no legitimate starting Qbs on this team. Never have the whole season (including AJ). So I can understand calling for Sage to start just to change things up, but if you're expecting better play out of the QB position, I would think again.

This season, as far as making the playoffs, is washed up and has been washed up since the beginning of the season (which I took some heat for saying especially since we opened with a W against Denver.) We never had a starting QB on this team.

Now is the season a waste? Absolutely not! We've seen great improvement in our OL, and there's no question Ronnie is a stud for years to come. But if you're expexcting Sage or Cleo to come in and lead us to the playoffs, please be careful what you wish for.

Unfortunately, the question of who should start at QB for us...has no answer, because we don't have a starting QB. Period.

How ironic.

Dan Marino gets his Hall of Fame ring at halftime just to remind this franchise they haven't had a decent pro quarterback since he left. Jay, Ray. Brian, AJ, Sage, Gus. Bring on CLEO! Untill we get a pro QB this team is no threat in the passing game. Yes we have great running backs, but they are to easy to defend without a passing game. I still have faith in Saban. I think they should have made a better effort to address the QB position. It will take some time but they will get what they need at QB. I guess we can thank Wanny and Speilman for leaving Saban with that problem.

you can lose with sage just as well, might as well find out if he can play

T.o.p. Atl 36 Minutes To Mia 25 Minutes....

Gus' inability to make plays has cost us this game and the KC game. He was also terrible in the N.O. game.

How much worse could Cleo or Sage be?
